Re: Yamaha PSR-S900 Was: Yamaha PSR 8000 & Mixcraft 8

I think I'll just buy this cable tomorrow and hope it works. https://http2.mlstatic.com/cabo-midi-usb-para-teclado-yamaha-extenso-usb-20-D_NQ_NP_815519-MLB31755610269_082019-F.webp You got to have this type of cable hooked up to your computer. That is why you are getting the " no device connec...

Re: Yamaha PSR 8000 & Mixcraft 8

Sounds like the common denominator here is your usb to midi cable. I would not give up. You can pick up a cheapo new one off ebay for like $10. Roland and some other brand name ones sell for like $35. Before I spent that type of money though I would look into something like this. https://www.ebay.co...

Re: Changing Effects in Real Time

"I have mixcraft 7 and I’m new to it. Is there a way to change the levels of effects as the song plays? For example, if I add reverb to a track is there a way to change the intensity of the reverb as the tune plays? I’m not looking for an instant change. I’m looking for something that would be ...

Re: How to make a midi track from a real kick drum track?

Check out pages 97 to 100 in the manual. Basically you will be creating hit transients of the kick drum and then creating a midi loop. How good it comes out depends on the audio. If there is a lot of bleed thru of the other instruments it may not perform this function to good. You can use an equaliz...

Re: Routing to another track

OK, where are you going to send these three outputs(frequency bands) to for processing? The only way I know to do something like this with what is included in mixcraft is to duplicate the track and then put a low-pass filter on one and a high -pass filter, etc with an EQ or filter. And then you coul...

Re: Routing to another track

If I understand you correctly, you have a midi track with a bassline and want to move the lower notes to a new midi track and the same for the mid-range notes and higher(treble) notes? If so, go into the piano roll editor and select/ lasso the notes you want on a new track, for instance the lower no...

Re: Convert Audio to MIDI

Not that I know of, unless you upgrade the Melodyne Essentials that comes with Mixcraft Pro to one of the three versions that include that feature.

Re: m8 tip route midi to another track dont work for me like it used to

Hi, Problem: - if I choose "route midi to track" and choose one of the existing tracks my Captain Chords plugin gets deleted automatically  - so this is absolutely useless for my intended workflow this way "route midi to track" is for existing midi on a track, seems like y...

Simple answer is yes. I have it on my main desktop at home and I installed it on a laptop to play around with while out of town working. I believe you just use your original serial number. Not sure how many computers you can install it on.

Re: Jamstiks 4 Your Thoughts and Experience

Hey Mark, how is it going As I understand it, this is used as a MIDI input application used as a "front end" for other drum instrument programs No, not really. That is the way I have been using it so far. You do not have to input any midi at all. You can have the program spit out the drums...
