Re: Waves Plugins in Mixcraft

I'm hoping MIXCRAFT ENGINEERS and WAVES software gurus can finally get together on solving the compatibility problems ASAP! There are no compatibility problems on my end, I was just saying how Waves was kind of a PITA but they work fine for me with their v10, that's vst3 too. Guess I'm one of the l...

Re: Waves Plugins in Mixcraft

I saw that Waves has gone to v11 with their Waves Central...... Oh boy....... Don't mess with any waves files or folders, they use Waves Central in how they control your plugins, and once in your system it's not just a dll. You have to make sure it's moved to your system and MC should see your plugi...

Re: AKAI MPD26 USB pad controller help

I have the Akai LPD 8 and it works great. You have to make sure you're pads have a cc# that you can set in their editor, then you match those cc# to the drums your using. I use EZD2 and each pad is set to a different drum/cymbal.

Re: Will MX survive the "upgrade" to WIN 10?

One thing Windows did was to have easy backup and transition, iirc when you go from 8 to 10 it gives you some additional backup options.

Re: Will MX survive the "upgrade" to WIN 10?

I was an early W10 convert and aside from one driver issue with a Korg midi controller have had very few issues. MC8 has run well throughout so I've been fine. I think the complaints you'll hear are usually driver issues but those are usually solved pretty quickly. The specs of your system are plent...

Re: a few total NOOB Q's ??

Then you're good to go with 8gb ram. I'd look into guitar modelling software and maybe drums, best two bits of software I own!

Hopefully you have an interface, you'll be surprised at how much you can do with a PC and interface

Re: a few total NOOB Q's ??

You should be fine to start off with and depending on what you're doing could be okay. If you're using vsti, that eats up ram fast, some plugins too. But if you're just laying down a few tracks, you're good. Seems these days 16gb ram is a safe bet for what most people need. And welcome to the forum. M

Re: Can't load VST3 presets (*.vstpreset)

Some plugins have preset files that you download and browse for them within the plugin.

Re: MIDI Controller Keyboard Survey

It worked fine until this weekend and suddenly stopped working altogether. I can load the software as a VST and I can even access all the sounds via the computer but once I try to change a patch using the keyboard the program locks up. Sounds like it could be a Windows update that NI hasn't gotten ...

64 is really low, the 'norm' is 512, that's why you're hearing pops.

Could it be the Microsoft ransomware selected in security settings? Or maybe antivirus/firewall? Maybe try new install?

Re: Separate instruments from a drum kit into individual channels

I have EZD2 and you go to mixer and check multichannel within EZD2, the child tracks will be available if you click the + to view them. You won't get individual wave forms for each drum but you'll be able to do anything to that drum channel as you would any vst/i.

Re: Is my laptop too old for music production?

Right click on the speaker icon, click on sounds, click on playback, click on your interface, set it to default, press properties, click on advanced and make sure your pc is the set to the same settings as your interface (ie: 24bit, 48000 hz etc) A good starting point is 16bit 44.1 hz. This 'should'...

Re: A Mixcraft 8 course for Udemy.com??????

I am hoping that there are some basic similarities between these two DAW"s s to help me along as I navigate my way through Mixcraft 8 Pro. All DAW's do basically the same things but in much different ways, the concepts are all the same too but again, in much different ways. I tried Ableton yea...
