Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?

Greg, pretty sure he's talking about the list of plugins, not track names.....

Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?

One tiny thing to finish :D. Any chance of a way to rename VSTs inside Mixcraft? Right now I have lots of instruments and effects showing up with names like, "name_of_plugin_x64_2.14b", and it's just a bit ugly to look at. Why not just rename the DLL file itself? I've done this numerous t...

Re: Thats it i am done, I am sorry, its been a good run folks.

Yeah not sure what "a lot" of tracks means, I don't have hundreds etc, but I've used the programs he mentions and many more "professional" level plugins, no issues to date. And I am using 64-bit with both 64 and 32 plugins. And on a low-end PC yet. I can appreciate how frustratin...

Re: PC:

What Mark said. A high-end i5 will out-perform a lower-end i7 easily; don't get wrapped up in that i5 vs i7 stuff. More important is the chipset (and there are about a billion now, what a fragmented cluster it all is) and of course how much RAM you have. Based on the OP, yes, I think an 8000-series ...

Have heard good things about this and always recommended, and well worth the modest price. Good call!

Re: VST Plug ins

They're virtual instruments not plugins. They also have installed shells and don't just have a dll file, it's a program. M I confess I don't understand the OP or the reply, e.g.: - virtual instruments are indeed plugins (they are a type of plugin) - not sure what "installed shells" means,...

Re: SONiVOX Singles Bundle on sale!

ugh. If they're not worth even $15 each, they aren't worth my time/money at all. Not interested in half-ass plugins. Thx anyway though.

Re: SONiVOX Singles Bundle on sale!

I've heard kind of mixed reviews on them. That's cheap enough to be worth a flyer though.

Re: Vocal harmony plug in

Agreed Trevor. Ten years later and Vibrant Audio's original reply is pretty "on point" In addition to the titles mentioned, the ZPlane Vieklang harmonizer and the Eventide H-3000 or quadra/octovox titles have good reps. Thx but also pricey... They are all "simulated" harmonies a...

Re: Vocal harmony plug in

 I haven't been looking for 10 years. I just came across the thread on an internet search which is relevant to the topic. It sounds like izotope nectar can do this but it's very expensive. Again looking for true harmonies, not fakey-sounding "simulated" ones or simple pitch shifters ...

bump!

Anyone? I don't want "fake" harmony but the ability to make them based on an existing vocal (using same voice).

Re: Upgrading to Windows 10

"Upgrading" from 7 to 10 is like upgrading from steak to hamburger IMO. I've had numerous problems with 10 (none music-related.....yet) and see absolutely zero advantage over 7. That combined with the forced updates, covertly (and totally unwanted) things running in the background, ridicul...

Re: NEW PC TIME!

I will just add that the chipset is more important than if it's i3 vs i5 vs i7. A top-end i5 will blow the doors off of a low-end i7. Unfortunately this has become an insanely splintered affair with only about 800,000 diff chipsets available and an Engineering degree practically required to decipher...
