They may be 64-bit VST's. Sometimes they work...and sometimes they don't. MixCraft is a 32-bit application.

Have been using it with Windows 7 for a while now with no issues. You will also have access top WaveRT with Windows 7.

Latency issues are of thing of the past. I can get down to 3mS.

Is your WINDOWS volume up all the way? Look at the bottom right hand corner. Find the speaker picture. Click on it and move the level all the way up.

Should fix the problem (I've had this problem in the past also)

I have been using the M-Audio Fast Track for almost a year now and have never had an issue.

Just got a Fast Track Pro because I needed the Midi interface. If you need a midi interface remember the Fast Track does not have one but the Fast Track Pro does.

You could try a Studio Projects B1 condenser mic to record the guitar. Need 48v power but a decent sounding inexpensive mic (for under $100 on E-bay at an auction...about $120 with buy it now) For a general purpose mic go with the Shure SM57 (or 58) for around the same price. Move them around to var...

Why don't you suck it up and get the NEW version? (fixing bugs and problems with crashing, etc. are the reason that new versions are introduced every so often).

Build 152 of Version 5 is pretty solid.

Room ambiance in Beatcraft

I use MixCraft and BeatCraft all the time. The problem I always had was getting any room ambiance so the drums sound more natural so here is what I do. I know a great drummer with lousy drums ($$$$ thing) So we record his drums on a single mic to get them down. Then we convert them to BeatCraft. We ...

Here in Buffalo, NY they have an engineer from GCR Audio (see Goo Goo Dolls studio in Allentown) running the program every once in a while. He offers a lot of new insight. Yes it is Garage Band Based (GC sells Apple) but they always mention MixCraft as a PC alternative to it. Keep up the good work A...

Your gonna love this one. I have been taking some free recording classes at Guitar Center. Some guy starts popping off that if you aren't using Pro Tools you are cheating your self and everyone else because 90% of all hits are done in Pro Tools. The instructor then asked the guy if 90% of all hits a...

Has anyone tried using Melodyne Essential w/MC 5

Looking at Melodyne Essential to clean up some vocal tracks, etc. Was wondering if anyone has tried it with MC5 since it is not listed as a compatible DAW.

If you are using Windows 7 you may want to check out this article. I have run into this a couple of times but the problem appears to be random and does not happen every time.

I use an M-Audio FastTrack Pro. Does dynamic and condenser (48V power) microphones, anything with a 1/4" input and midi.

You can get one on e-bay for under $100
