Re: Symphonic Choirs pitch issues when more than one

Symphonoic Choirs is very resource heavy. It sounds like you are running your entire system off one SSD? If so that could be the problem there. Your drive has to handle OS, Mixcraft, plus streaming and the samples. If you have the space in RAM you could try unchecking 'stream from disk' in the Play ...

Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?

1. Complete overhaul of editing features, allowing all automation (both CC and Host) and display of those at both clip and track level (Yes 2 separate levels of automation) with a display capable of straight lines and curves on ALL parameters. 2. The ability to create and edit macros utilizing all c...

Re: Orchestral Template

Aside from what has already been stated...... Right now my orchestra template is mostly Kontakt instruments, but my percussion is still EWQL stuff. Here are my suggestions for the latter. 1. One track per instrument. Do not stuff your instances of play with a bunch of different instruments. 2. Howev...

Re: Help please East-West plug ins

You need to load the Play VST on to a track and then load the libraries into that, so see if Play is on your instrument list. If not, try to find where it was installed and make a path to it in the "Additional VST Plug-in Folders".

Re: Anyone else hate Native Instruments

Have to give that a resounding no since a vast majority of the instruments I use work in the full version of Kontakt. Pricey? Yes, but the door is open to a universe of free libraries from wanna be developers, some of which are quite good and many which are useful but have a very short lifespan. Com...

Re: Not all audio Daws sound the same ...

Just so you all don't think mick is the only one to be jumping ship, I have also begun focusing on another DAW for many of the same reasons as mick. That decision was pretty much made for me by Acoustica when no improvements were made in the MIDI editor in version 8. It was not an easy decision as, ...

I agree with Tom's take on the pic.

17 days later ( ) here's my take on it:

Adam Audio Contest 2018

Back for another year. I like this one. Musically describe what you see in 30 seconds.

Re: Mixdown issues with EastWest

Thats fine and all, but the Play plugin really is multitrack beast, think Kontakt, but different manufacturer. Most of my tracks have 4-5 instances with 7-8 audio tracks per plugin. Its a *huge* pain in the neck to dump them all out to stems and remix them again, especially with film scoring where ...

Re: Mixdown issues with EastWest

Hello. I'm curious as to why the drive speed would make a difference??? If the project was stuttering etc. upon playback (and this NOT being due to buffer sizes and the like) then I'd agree but mixing down should just be reading and writing data not (and if the drive was slow or some other such rel...

Re: Mixdown issues with EastWest

I stand by my first post. If that doesn't work for you, the drive you have Pianos on is probably too slow. It should be on a different drive other than your OS and DAW. I remember when Pianos was released (yes I've been working with EWQL stuff that long) many of the users had to move the library to ...

Re: Mixdown issues with EastWest

Try the advice on the thread you quoted and mix the track down to an audio file before your final mixdown. I do this with every track. Then I can check each render. Most people consider it overkill, but it sure beats spending time trying to find a few bad sample renderings in a 50 track mix.
