Re: Vocal harmony plug in

Yep. Go on, I'm all ears. 8) I have yet to see a free or inexpensive pitch correction/shift program that didn't sound about the same as any other. Which is to say..... not too good. You could simply use the transpose (or whatever each may call it) function built in to most DAW's and get about the sa...

Re: Vocal harmony plug in

Agreed Trevor. Ten years later and Vibrant Audio's original reply is pretty "on point" In addition to the titles mentioned, the ZPlane Vieklang harmonizer and the Eventide H-3000 or quadra/octovox titles have good reps. They are all "simulated" harmonies and pitch shifters, so I ...

Re: izotope upgrade

I think that links been broken since the plug in was first included in Mixcraft.

Opinions vary, but IMO the new stuff isn't just several generations further evolved, its light years.....

Re: Cherry Audio Voltage Modular

Its a third party plug in. Not Acoustica software. Come on. Acoustica CEO, CTO and of course Mitchell are on the video wearing "Voltage Modular" shirts. :D Haven't seen that. I just saw the info about the release a week or more ago from Plugin Boutique (Which I skimmed 'cause I am just no...

Re: Cherry Audio Voltage Modular

Its a third party plug in. Not Acoustica software. And its a synth. (I believe Chris Collins from the Acoustica team is involved in the development.) Cherry Audio is a new company formed by a small group of industry veterans from Sonic Foundry, Cakewalk, Bias, Acoustica, and Keyboard Magazine. Volta...

Re: Distortion Portion

I loaded the project, and loaded the MP3 into an audio track as well. Heard nothing unusual in either. Sounded fine. As an experiment I replaced the piano instrument with Pianissimo. Different. In solo by default its got too much verb, turned that down, turned down the bass and boosted the treble a ...

Hello, welcome and great first post!
Maybe this helps someone, or encourages a video tut, or a user manual or something. There always seems to be more potential to explore!

Re: Make pitch change gradually?

That may work fine if thats what the OP intended, but dont most keyboard pitch bend wheels restrict the range of the bend somewhat?
(Not a keyboard guy, honestly dont know)
Is an octave common?

Re: Make pitch change gradually?

Portamento is the term you want. (also sometimes called "glide" in some keyboards and synths) Of course as in the given example, the easiest answer is the human voice. But beyond that, depends a great deal on many factors. Recording it in, as mentioned- some keyboards and many synth...

Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?

Well... You could easily use the midi in EZD to trigger the drum samples in Mixcraft if you wish. And you could easily collect up some free (and/or inexpensive) drum midi of whatever style you might wish from one of many, many internet sources, place them in a Windows folder organized any which way ...

Agreed. TigerDirect is a great source, if you know what you are looking at. I know just enough to get in trouble..... Yeah I've seen those Laptops RE, but that's not what I am looking at right now. The i5 system I mentioned is my laptop used for mobility. It fits the bill for the most part eve...

Re: NEW PC TIME!

Suicide, no. Recipe for frustration, probably. My current "lower end" machine is i5 8g and an ssd, and I am often finding myself wishing for a little more performance capacity even on modest mixing projects. Not that you cant work with less.... And having experienced the improvement of an ...

Its OK! You'll probably be shocked to learn I listened to both versions. In entirety. :) Interesting to compare. Its hard to judge. Thin? Against what reference? IE: Listening to the first I thought, Thin? Maybe not, I dunno. "But I think I would have made that drum element more prominent...
