Re: Midi Mapping More Than 8 Tracks

Yeah, its a rt/click, sorry I wasn't clear on that. 8)

Also, depending on the details of your live set and use, I think you could program the "next track/previous track" parameters to toggle through, instead of soloing tracks.

Anyway, glad it helped, and welcome to the forum!

Re: Midi Mapping More Than 8 Tracks

I think-

Click on "MIDI learn" and increase the "#faders" to enable more tracks.

Re: Decent PC | Should I get a Soundcard?

I may have confused the model. Been a while. As I recall, the reverb may have been OK. Much of the rest, meh. I was excited to find an affordable interface with the described features, but in trying it out, decided it wasn't what I wanted and sent it back. Not a knock on their stuff either, actually...

Re: Decent PC | Should I get a Soundcard?

I'd agree with Torton on some points, disagree on others based on my own user experience. If the budget allows for it, stepping up another level certainly has points in its favor. But.... using my old discontinued Tascam USB powered interface as an example: Quality of monitored sound is noticably be...

Re: Decent PC | Should I get a Soundcard?

You may find the best results with that combined with a conventional mic. I have seen mixed results with USB mics. Some seem to work out better than others. For example- I have one I use occasionally for mobile purposes. It basically works as an audio interface and offers direct monitoring off of it...

Re: Sound Card Recomendations

This has gotten difficult to follow and as much as I would like to help I keep just feeling a bit lost. Your problem description is now scatter gunned over some 7 or more threads you have either started or piggy backed onto and to be blunt, the topic lacks focus and you haven't exactly been forthcom...

Re: Sound Card Recomendations

You don't really want to copy and paste the mixcraft-log.txt file, you just want to attach it. It can be hard to read if it's copied and pasted into an email, especially if there are no line breaks (which happens sometimes). Greg Yep, that's what I meant. The difficulty I was speaking of was really...

Caution! I am always hesitant/concerned about guiding a user into hidden/system folders when they are (for example) struggling with cut and paste instructions. COPY the indicated file per the previous instructions and paste it as an attachment in your support request via the support button/path at t...

Re: Bad stems?

There's a lot of settings in the "mixdown to stems" function to consider, as to how plug ins and routing are addressed. You may want to review those as well. I'd confess to being stubborn, I still use the old fashioned manual one-by-one method to be certain of getting exactly what I intend...

Re: Vocals in Mixcraft 8 cut out

I decide to export it as MP3, and the whole song is distorted. As a test: Try mixing down to wav, using the same sampling rate as your project. And also, what are your project settings? Are you possibly set to very high sampling rates? Vocals aren't even playing on the song (just the instrumental)....

Re: 2 Plugins Not Appearing in FX Drop Down List

There ya go! Yes, virtual instruments should be found via "change instrument" as Tom points out, not show in the plug in drop down. Except sometimes. It's confusing. A pot of stew actually. I still have one sampler/library that I just can't seem to get the filing sorted on. It'll drive ya ...
