Re: Can this be done? (Or feature request...)

What I'm getting out of this is that, essentially, Trev wants the first eight faders to function as your regular fader bank - in his case, busses 1-8, and the ninth fader would be the independent fader that follows the active track. (I know that some hardware controllers have this functionality in ...

Re: Can this be done? (Or feature request...)

Thanks again Greg and jlouvar! I have a work around figured - I also have a Korg Nanocontrol 2 which I can use on general tracks - it has a neat button to shift between banks of 8. I'll use the Launchkey just for the 8 busses and the master fader. BTW - been going through all the vids from V 5 (stil...

Yeah, totally agree - these were for a track template which I use on most new projects

Re: Can this be done? (Or feature request...)

Thanks Greg. Still a technophobe of note. Let me try and explain... I have watched the MX Uni vids on control surfaces and understand the basics from them. Let's say I have a project with 30 tracks - maybe I just need a slight volume tweak on say track 27. In Reaper I could just go to 27, select it ...

Can this be done? (Or feature request...)

Emigrating back to Old Faithful from Reaper (again  ) One feature I liked in Reaper concerning Control Surfaces.. The ability to program a slider (in my case, Launchkey 49) to operate the DAW slider of any SELECTED track. Launchkey has 9 sliders - I assigned the first 8 to bus tracks and th...

Re: Master Meter Levels

Thanks guys and brother Mark for a detailed explanation too  Coming to think about it, I use T-Racks mastering suite which can be stand alone or plugin - very accurate metering system. Another route could be my Klanghelm VUMT meter with a brickwall limiter as last plug in the chain - I normall...

Master Meter Levels

hey fellas
Getting back to old faithful after some time and just going through the vids.
I notice the master track has a limit readout of -6db. Can this be changed? When I master, I need to see 0dbFS, although I could slap a separate VU plugin on the track...

Re: edit, enhance and boost audio file with mixcraft

If by 'boost' you mean an increase in volume, right click on the clip>Properties> Normalize. (or Ctrl K) Or try an EQ plugin. Listen carefully on good speakers or headphones and analyse what is not right with the sound. Too much bass? Cut the lower frequencies from about 200 KHz downwards Too muddy?...

Re: Idiot (Me) Can't Pan a Mono Track, Help?

What I'm seeing (or rather not seeing) is the automation line in the Pan Automation track below the audio track. Looks like it could be set either full right or left - it should be in the middle? EDIT: On closer inspection it seems to be set 100 percent Left (on the bottom) which produces the same r...

Re: Amp Modeling?

Just something different to throw into the equation... I use a tiny Roland Micro Cube amp - got it off e-bay for like 40 quid. Huge selection of really nice tones and different amp models/FX. I get the sound I want; then jack from the headphone out direct to my audio interface. It works a treat! :D ...

Re: vst PROBLEMS

Hi!
Open Mixcraft and go to preferences (the gear icon). Last item in the left column is 'Plugins'. If you click 'Re-scan all VST Plugins', that should do the trick. If not, you can manually enter by clicking the button above that 'Edit VST/VSTi Folders'
Hope this helps!
