Re: RAM ON...

Makes sense. It's like working blind for you guys. I get it. Personally, I'd prefer not to wear out my welcome, especially if it's something resulting from my system. And from all I've experienced so far, that appears to be the case here. Of course, that's a global issue with most software versus OS...

Re: RAM ON...

I find that Mixcraft 8 (Pro Studio, not relevant) crashes all the bloody time, but like yourself I can't be bothered with the endless questions that come my way if I point this out via the support system Yup, that pretty much sizes it up for me. Although, I had this problem before I installed Windo...

Re: RAM ON...

OK, thanks for weighing in. (See what I have below.) It seems my system is growing more and more archaic with each DAW update. I may just have to keep using my workaround until I'm ready to upgrade. :( OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.15063 Build 15063 Other OS Description Not Available...

RAM ON...

Hi folks, Just curious if anybody else has had as bad a time as me. I'm running Mixcraft 8 Pro. OS is Windows 10, 32 bit, 4 gb ram. Plugins are a nightmare. Not loading, crashing, freezing, etc. Just today I wasn't even working on my project but it was open in the background. As I was surfing the we...

Re: OCD People Unite!

Hey, it just occurred to me. Mixcraft 8 has the stem feature. Isn't that basically what I'm aiming for? I must explore.

Re: OCD People Unite!

I add a 'date modified' tab to the folder and click on that so that the files are sorted by date. Normally I want something recent, so the file I want is almost always at the top of the file list. Right. I do tend to use the date and even time signature if it's something I just recorded. If it's da...

Re: OCD People Unite!

Oh I see. I think we might be talking apples vs oranges here. You're talking about the DAW itself. What I'm talking about is the folder where all audio for a particular project ends up. It can be quite the storehouse of unnecessary flotsam taking up vital space. (Much like my attic.) :? And if one n...

Re: OCD People Unite!

Chibear, I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Can you elaborate?

Mark, I like the lettering system. I might try that. PS- Cool tunes on Soundcloud.

Thanks guys.

OCD People Unite!

For all you neatniks out there. How do you keep track of your tracks? When I go to rename a wav file it gets lost in a sea of fellow files. I find that after several (and I do mean several) takes that I've lost control of where the best takes end up. Or after punching in very short sections. Never m...

Re: Software glitches

Well, .... EZ Drummer 2 is still choking my session. So, I've got to go to Toontrack and see what's what... Have you ever been able to successfully use MC7 with EZD2 without the glitches on that system? If not, your system is probably under spec'ed. The 32 bit O.S. limits your memory usage to less ...

Re: Software glitches

It's a fairly new development. In fact, I tried opening and editing it in a blank session and it was fine. As of now I'm unable to finish my project using EZD2 until I can resolve this issue. Unless I can move all the other tracks into a new project and try loading EZD2 in that one. Or create a temp...

Re: Software glitches

Well,
the good news is that I was able to remove the hot card and start using the on board one. The bad news is that EZ Drummer 2 is still choking my session. So, I've got to go to Toontrack and see what's what.

Thanks again for your handy tips!

Re: Software glitches

Speccy reads my graphics card at 115 C. Which is 239 F. That's pretty hot isn't it? Hmm. Let me try the swap and see if the performance drops.
