Re: Recording vocals in Mixcraft 8

I'm going to make the first check, and see if you're using phantom power when recording with your AT 2020. If not, enable phantom power and see if that helps. Whenever you're using a condenser microphone, it is imperative to have phantom power enabled, as the microphone requires some power to operat...

Re: Hearing high pitch noise when recording vocals on 2i2???

All units I have tried have required (and most recommend) gain levels much lower for best results. Getting into some recording technique stuff here, but if you have to crank the gain all the way up to get any kind of signal to record with, then you might want to take another look at how you're reco...

Re: Adding sound files - need help

1) That behavior is currently not changeable by user preferences. I believe the change was made when making Mixcraft 8 because many users complained that importing a group of audio files wouldn't load them into their own tracks, but all into the same track one after the other. For users moving raw r...

Re: Allocate more RAM to Mixcraft 8 Pro?

If you have a computer running a 64-bit operating system, then you need to install and use the 64-bit version of Mixcraft in order to access more RAM. Both the 64-bit and 32-bit version can exist on your system at the same time, so you do not need to uninstall anything before installing the 64-bit M...

Re: MIDI Clock out to Novation Impulse causing Mixcraft to freeze

Clock settings were set to auto at the time, but now I can't get my Impulse to be recognized as a MIDI device by any MIDI software so I can't test if that has any affect on this issue.

If it matters, I'm running Windows 10 with the latest updates (Insider Preview fast update ring).

MIDI Clock out to Novation Impulse causing Mixcraft to freeze

Not sure what's going on here, but all I really need to do to cause a crash in b369 is have Mixcraft send the MIDI Clock to my Impulse keyboard, and then to attempt to play the project. This makes no sense to me, but I'm adding a ZIP of a project to show what I had set up in Mixcraft on the most rec...

Re: Testing plugin - Passing MIDI to new Channel

Hi, The original problem seems to have resolved itself; I believe that part of the issue is that the tutorial MIDI editing plugin, despite having the "Is a Synth" flag set, was not compiling as a VSTi and was killing Mixcraft. I'm guessing updating to a higher code version than 5.0.0 fixed...

Re: Testing plugin - Mixcraft freeze

Tutorial in question is https://juce.com/doc/tutorial_code_basic_plugin JUCE 5 can be downloaded here if you want to try and see just what the heck is going on in the dev environment (or if anyone who happens upon this thread wants to just try their hand at coding an audio application). There was a ...

Re: Testing plugin - Mixcraft freeze

No dump was created, but I recreated the problem (sorta) and manually created a dump file.

Can't attach due to filesize, so here's a hotlink instead.

A restart has not fixed this issue. Nor has uninstalling and reinstalling Melodyne.

Melodyne freeze on initialize

I'm on the Insider Preview Windows 10 update (build 16184) and whenever I try to start Mixcraft with Melodyne installed, Mixcraft hangs on start. The log always ends at an entry that reads "Melodyne is successfully integrated!" after which Mixcraft refuses to continue initialization. This ...

Re: Windows 10 Creators Update

I've had the Creator's Update through the windows insider program for a while now, and other than occasional stutter on my 2i4 (buffer size was at 128, raising the buffer size fixed issue - ASIO), I haven't noticed anything. I'll keep you updated.
