Re: Some demos and a help request

Thanks Markus, those are some really kind words. Yes, "Best Friend" doubles '80's fretless' and 'EVM Bassline' from mixcraft. I liked the growl they give together. Yes, the drums are midi only, I have no skills in the percussion department. I don't always use percussion but when I do it ta...

Re: advice/ ears / mixdown / mastering - $ available

Thanks Tom, I will do that. I'd love to hear a different take on a mix just to see what the difference can be. I like the balance on you stuff on Soundcloud. Most of my stuff uses vst's and effects from within Mixcraft, what isn't native is almost always freeware. Wonder how to handle that, if I sho...

Some demos and a help request

Not sure how many folks read all the posts from other subforums. I have a serious plea at this link: http://forums.acoustica.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=16993 regarding an original project I'm working on, some of the songs for which I've put up here: https://soundcloud.com/unknownartist-14 I'd ...

advice/ ears / mixdown / mastering - $ available

My hearing isn't the best anymore, fine for recording and rough mixes, but I certainly don't trust it for final mixing and mastering. I'm working on about 14 original songs for a July 20 2015 cd release. My 50th birthday! I don't perform, this is a vanity project, although I will probably use the re...

Re: Mixcraft6 : How to do a gradual tempo change?

Does anyone know if this feature is being implemented in MIxcraft 7? I am working on a project now with several tempo changes, a couple will be gradual like this...I can figure it out but this would be an awesome feature to have available.

Re: Anyone troubled by takes scattered over multiple lanes/c

Jaborandi, I record in takes all the time and know exactly what you mean. It's very annoying. I'm not sure what the benefit to this behavior is in the first place. Makes comping a p.i.t.a.

The Best Friend I Never Had

https://soundcloud.com/fisherpaul/the-best-friend-i-never-had I'm getting closer to my 1 mike, 1 take, subtractive-only recording goal, I'm creating a few techniques and a workflow. I hope to start a thread elsewhere detailing my equip and process, and ask for advice. In the meantime, I hope someone...

Re: my latest: Run

Thanks for the comment. I will take those suggestions to heart. I'll lay out my recording chain later maybe, perhaps I'm taking some step out of order.

A Heart Full of Hope

All written, performed, mixed by moi. This is the first thing I've written and performed in almost 20 years. I'm super happy with it. Happy USA Memorial Day to all Mixcrafters from me, Paul Fisher. I am hoping to kickstart a charity fundraiser for a couple local charities using my songs as donations...

Re: Caret Position on Zoom

I would like to 'second' this feature request. Not that I find it impossible to work around, but it's an "intuitive" kind of thing that would make Mixcraft that much better.
