Pleas, one last problem

Postby ineedhelp » Fri Dec 28, 2012 3:49 pm

So i have that problem when recording drums where some notes come up really tiny and you cant hear them. im told to quantatize it, but when i do, i greatly effects the timing of the drums. can i make the notes bigger without changing the timing

Quantize affects timing; Velocity affects dynamics, or loudness.

Hi!

Try opening the piano roll, zooming in (mouse wheel) and then you can identify the "soft" notes (vertical lines in the lower panel). Hover over the top of the note in the lower pane with the mouse until you get the double vertical arrow and you can then drag it up to increase the volume of that note.

Hope this helps!

Sorry, I've not read your other thread. My advice was how to get an individual note's volume up.

Where did timing go wrong? Maybe re-load the original sample?

Hi,

When you quantized the notes, did you follow all the steps that Vibrant Audio suggested?

Greg
