Well, I guess I'll give my perspective on it first. Since I am the first to reply and all.......

I don't recall the exact timeline. I think it was around about the time MX7 was in beta, soon to be released.
There was a handful of forum regulars who had been using Mixcraft for quite some time, and we became aware of our somewhat unusual age group.....
But even bigger than that, we were all regularly helping newer users here with questions and problems.

We joked around a lot and the forum was a fun and constructive place to check in. (Honestly, I often miss those times!)

Someone suggested we were the "old farts" and it evolved. I think it was Tom, (Outteh) who created the signature logos. It really started partly as a joke and just stuck.

But make no mistake, I am very proud to have been a part of helping many, many folks get started and solving problems over the years, and to be a part of what has been an unusual online "space" in a world of b.s. to be frank......

And I eagerly await the opportunity to continue that tradition, come what may. 8)

Stay in tune, Mark

Oh okay, thank you Mark. I'm only in my 60's, but I like helping others when/if I can, and I really enjoy the Acoustica Forums... So I can totally relate. Thanks again. 8) :D

I remember when we had to click on icon thingy to start Mixcraft and configure the whole thing going uphill both ways, braving 100mph winds @ -25 Celcius, with no shoes, and carrying a backpack full of accessories ,while multitasking with "how to" videos at 240p while still smoking, eating, drinking, risking it all for a perfect track, only to realize glitches were there for our amusement. Damn that was long ago.
If you don't like my advice .. don't take it.

Hey, I had my weekly visit from a Red Cross worker today. Apparently this is who I remind her of (Maybe I'm dead already) Note : This video appears to have been altered slightly.
