Issues with playback

Postby Samm Pickup » Sun Sep 01, 2019 7:21 pm

For my acoustic drumkit I arm all mics, they have good levels when clicking my fingers next to them and when playing and recording. My problem is with playback as when I play the track I have recorded the sound is absolutely minimal. Please help if possible. Oh, I am not very tech savvy but I can navigate where instructed.

Another problem is all my Samson mics work but when I try my AKG P220 for overhead, I have no levels as if the mic was not even plugged in. Any ideas from anyone would be appreciated for either issue/problem.

Thanks in advance.
Much respect. Samm

The Samson mic is a condenser and needs an interface with phantom power to operate, there's usually a switch on your interface.

As for the drum mics, when you play them back do have the same levels on the meters as you do when recording?

(Cross post)

Interface used?
How are you setting levels?
How are you determining "good levels"?
The AKG is a condenser. Requires phantom power correct? It that turned on in your interface on that channel?
Stay in tune, Mark
