Hi,

I need help, please ...

Replaced my died printer Canon MP630 with new MG5450.

The old one was working great with Acoustica CD labeler, but new one is printing only half of CD label and start at the lower and so it messed up my plate.

I have set printer template at closest possible MG5350 and tray is marked as J, but is somewhat short.

Everything seems to be fine until print preview shows up and it is obvious that print area and cover don't match at all.

Please give me solution or let me know if I can give some more information

It is brand new printer with latest driver.

Thanks,

Ronny

I see that Greg has been working with someone in support about a printer which has the J tray. We're trying to collect information on that tray type and get an update release.
Please sign up for our newsletter so you can be notified when the update is released.

Hi Eric,

Great to hear that Greg and you are working on update ...

In the mean time, I did success to made a perfect print as usual on other printers.

So, I use mostly Verbatim full printable DVD.

Also using DVD with DVD case profile in Acoustica CD print, with last update of printer templates.

Choose Canon MG5350 printer template, full printable.

Then choose Edit printer template.

Diameter is 118 mm, and hole diameter is 21 mm.

Move to the left by 0,30 mm and move up by 30,00 mm.

That's it ... voila perfect print.

Please, check it in the way that check the print preview box in preferences.

Then push the show printable area button on top of preview page and you will see that now fit perfectly.

Hope that helped someone in some way.

Best regards,

Ronny

Hi Ronny,

Thank you for that additional info. Please submit an Acoustica Support Request and we'll send you a new template to try out.

Hello again,

We now have a template you can try! Download and install the "label update" from this page: Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker paper and direct-to-CD printer support,

Also make sure you've got Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker version 3.33.

I was having the same problem with my new Canon MG5450 printer (30mm offset misalignment of the image printed onto the printable disk, leaving a huge white - un-printed - moon-shape on the disk). The new 'printers-update' download from the Acoustica website has corrected the positioning of the image onto the printable disk, but there is still a hiccup in the procedure:- the printing dialogue instructs to close the inner cover although I have the tray J inserted ready to 'go' for the print; I have to take the tray out, close the cover (as per the printer instruction), then press ok on the printer; the printer then 'chunters' for a bit, then tells me to put the tray J back in again; so I put it back in, and this time the printing operation proceeds correctly. Am I doing something wrong here, or is the Acoustica program not matched properly to the Canon MG5450 printing procedure?
