Latency issues

Postby drewwithcrayons » Thu Jan 10, 2013 2:55 pm

When I'm listening back or recording, I always get this huge delay issue where it slows down like crazy then picks up again once it goes like 3-4 seconds into the heavy part. It only has 7 tracks but it's slowing down like it has 100.

Hi - I think a little more detail would help. Please give a brief spec on your pc + OS in use, the hardware you are using and what version of mixcraft. Also what is slowing down? The whole song or just one track.

Thanks

I am using a Sony Vaio Duo with 8GB RAM and Windows 8, M-Audio Fast Track USB Audio Interface, and Mixcraft 6.1 (up to date). It's making a really odd crunch sound (SUPER distorted), the whole song slows down, and when I press play it takes a few seconds to start. When I mix it down, there is no problem, only when I play back on Mixcraft.

Hi,

Make sure you're using ASIO in Mixcraft's sound device preferences and that you're specifically using the M-Audio ASIO driver.

Also, download and install the latest drivers from M-Audio.
