I have been using Mixcraft 6 to write my own music using solely virtual instruments as of late, and I have encountered a bit of a problem. Whenever I place 32nd notes next to each other (in the form of a drum roll or tremolo picking) Mixcraft sometimes doesn't play one or two of the notes. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please let me know.

Can you post an example project here demonstrating the problem?

You may have to zip the file to attach it to a post. And please use only instruments included with Mixcraft. :D

Ok, so here is a screenshot and the mp3 for download. The bass drum problem is simple to fix because I can move half of the notes to the second kick drum. Even the toms can be fixed by turning off the snap function and simply making the individual notes smaller, but for guitars and piano I cannot just make the note smaller because it makes the instrument sound wonky. I never had this problem with Mixcraft 5, but this problem has occurred ever since I got Mixcraft 6 back in December.

I understand, but need an actual Mixcraft project file to look at the offset and other properties of the individual notes in question.

If you don't want to send the project that you're working on, that's cool. Just make a new project with one track that has one clip with bad notes in it.

Hi,

Thanks for posting your project. Try quantizing to 1/32 notes and see if that helps.

Ok, if I quantize it a time or two it seems to correct the problem. Thanks for all of the help everyone.

I was able to correct the problem with quantizing too.

The interesting thing is that all of the start times and durations were showing ok in the note properties dialog box for each note. Nothing in those numbers changed after quantizing, but the playback error was corrected. :?

Hi,

I wonder if this project originated in Mixcraft 5.
