Mono

I want to use the MC reverb and chorus effects with a mono effect return - what is the simplest way of doing it?

Acoustica Reverb has a stereo width control that you can set to zero for mono.

Acoustica Chorus has no such setting. But there is a free (and old, but still good and useful) plugin called Monomaker. The download link can be a little tricky to find, so I've included the direct download link here.

Hmm, since most chorus effects use a combination of stereo separation and delay, I am wondering if converting to mono in this way might comprimise the effects sound?
possibly interesting experiement.

Thanks very much chaps. I knew about the stereo width on the Acoustica reverb, I just wondwered if there was a 'make-everything-mono' technique or button.

Anyway, I've finished now. I had a college assignment to mix the original stems of Marvin Gaye's Heard It Through The Grapevine to make it sound as near as possible to the original. Very interesting!

That is an interesting exercise. I'd love to get ahold of those stems to play with too!
Part of the intrigue for me would be the effort to get the retro mix right. (Retro sound with modern tools kind of thing!)

Yep, it was really amazing. You can hear MG making comments and tapping his feet, breathing etc and all sorts of other stuff going on. Can bleed all over the place. The stereo image is a hoot - drums on the left, bass on the right, backing vocals on the right, tambo and congas left - all great fun!
