Acoustica Backup

Postby MissMinx » Fri May 10, 2013 6:06 pm

So last time I had to reinstall my operating system I tried to make a back up of all my acoustica files but still found a lot of them went missing, is there anyway I can totally back up mixcraft to load it on?

My issue last time was with my custom preset/instruments I had created many using VSTs whilst the individual settings for the VSTs them self where backed up ok I still lost my presets

Where are those file saved? (Don't really have to know the location of those custom presets if there is a way to totally back up mixcraft)

I'm not at a pc right now to quote the exact location, but if you search your drive for files that have an extension of .Preset
Backup that folder.

Which versions of Mixcraft are involved? It will probably work unless you have some really old version.

hey Greg... I know you've answered this before, but I can't find it. My last studio pc just died (YAY ME) so I bought a new 8, 6 core 3.4, 64bit, 8 gig ram, and now I need to try to recover (BOO ME) my projects, associated audio files. The preset recovery was gonna be part of my question, but you answered that for me already. What are the directories for those files?
