i currently have mixcraft 6 on my windows 7 -32bit version laptop but i am upgrading to the 64-bit version which will result in having to re-install all my programs e.t.c again. Do i need to buy another license for mixcraft? or can i use my existing serial number?

Your existing one should work. My Mixcraft 6 has migrated to a new laptop and new desktop.

If you bought the boxed version (I bought 5 that way) it should be on the DVD jacket. If you downloaded it, Acoustica sent you an email with the info. If you lost it I believe there is a link somewhere on the Mixcraft pages or you can file a support ticket and they'll get it to you.

Click here for the automated Acoustica Registration Code Lookup page! :)

If that doesn't work for you try the Lost Codes page.

If THAT doesn't get you joy, here's the support request page.
