Status Bar?

HI, I'm temporarily on XP Pro and MIxcraft 8 Pro's Status Bar (CPU: Mixcraft/System) isn't showing. Is there a solution?

Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?

It's been talked about in other posts but I'd like to see the strange 6 dB volume jump when using mono plugins sorted out.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

A couple of things that have probably been mentioned before but I can't go through 76 pages (!!) to find out:

- Add tempo sync to the Acoustica Delay

- Add option to hide the long plugin list once they've been sorted into collections

simple question

Re Mixcraft 8 performance and installed but currently unused plugins:

Is it better to move any unused plugins to a separate "unused plugins" folder that Mixcraft doesn't scan or simply untick them in Mixcraft's "manage plugins" dialog?

Re: clean-up

Sorry Dale - I didn't explain the problem clearly. It's when I click on the Add button to choose a new VST folder to add that the window with the contents of my PC includes folders that no longer exist. I would like to purge that list. Same thing with the Mixcraft-Log.txt file - it lists plugins tha...

clean-up

I've noticed a couple of things:

- In my Preferences/Plug-Ins/Edit VST Folders drop-down list there are folders that no longer exist.

- In the Mixcraft-Log.txt file there are plugins listed that no longer exist.

Is there a way of bringing things up-to-date?

Re: volume boost?

The only two DAWs that I'm familiar with, Pro Tools and Cubase, both insist that the user choose between stereo or mono when adding an audio track. When adding stereo effects to a mono track in Pro Tools, the track automatically becomes stereo - wonderful. In Cubase the mono track has to be bussed t...

Re: volume boost?

Funny you should say that Mark - I still regularly use the Simulanalog Rednef Twin, which is mono, and the extra 6dB does indeed help!

Of course If you add a gain plugin to drop the level by 6dB make sure it's stereo otherwise you'll have to drop the gain by 12 dB to compensate ...

Re: volume boost?

Hi again Dale - from outteh 's post earlier in this thread regarding Pan Law: “adding two identical signals [i.e. left and right channels] results in a 6 dB ( 6.02 dB actually ) volume increase.” (Steinberg.net) So to nit-pick and amend my earlier observations for the benefit of the developers: 3 in...

Re: volume boost?

Same problem.

Testing with Sonalksis FreeG:

3 instances of the mono plugin = 18 db volume jump
3 instances of the stereo plugin = 0 dB volume jump

Re: volume boost?

Thanks for letting us know Greg but as far as I can tell ALL mono plugins boost the level by 6dB each; i.e. simply by inserting a chain of 5 mono plugins the signal is upped by 30 dB, which can't be right. "The issue that some mono plugins seem to boost the level?" Have you actually found ...

Re: volume boost?

Unfortunately my PC is old and has no available expansion slot for a graphics card. Need to win the lottery... Off topic again: although I'm not a Marshall man myself (although I did have a great little 20w 1x12 piggyback setup back in the early '70s) the Simulanalog Marshall is still highly regarde...
