Re: Recording levels, word lengths and dithering. Quality of analogue vs. digital audio.

Hi,
One reason remastering old analog music to digital may sound better is that it does not need to eq'd for a record processing. I read an article where a Mix engineer said what he heard in the mixing process sounded better than the actual finished record.

Re: Metering in Mixcraft

Hi, Just a note on the rms difference in levels of the different wave forms. It is more like measuring the power of the wave form. Electrically a square wave will produce more power than a wine wave. A peak meter is just measuring the highest signal level, RMS measures more of the signals power. - M...

Re: Metering in Mixcraft

Hi,
I use the Voxengo SPAN plug-in because it has the K-system metering option. The Mixcraft meters appear to work as peak meters. I place the SPAN plug-in on my output bus, as the last plug-in. I have the free version and it works well.

Re: Amp Modeling?

Hi, When you record your 20w amp does it still sound warm/hot? When we record we are converting the analog to digital in Mixcraft. If your amp sound still sounds good when recorded it may be an issue with the equipment you place before the amp. I have recorded amps and a Leslie speaker with good res...

Yes I noticed it last night. It brings you to a Mixcraft page for teacher/schools, showing the teaching products available. Nice into for teachers.

Re: How to Center?

Hi, If you try to center with the balance with your track as is, the one side has the guitar and the other side has no audio recorded, you will get a reduction in the level of the guitar sound. The sound won't move to the other side. I don't know if Mixcraft allows a stereo track to be separated int...

Re: MIXCRAFT 8 GLITCHES ON POWERFUL GAMING COMPUTER

Hi,
How many ssd or hdd are installed on this computer? I use a separate hdd for recorded audio. Your vocal recording not lining up may be caused if you only have one drive.

Re: Yamaha PSR-S975 - What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
Is there a mixer section in the soundblaster settings. You may just have to turn the level up for that input. It happened to me once on my older computed.

Summer Fun/ Sun Rise/ DeVille Mixers theme

Hi, These are three different pieces I did using Mixcraft. - Summer Fun is jazz-rock piece with 3 electric guitar parts, Rhodes piano, B3 organ, and drum kit. I composed, and play the keyboard parts. My son played the drums, a friend plays the guitar parts. The organ goes thru a real Leslie, mic'd w...

Re: Yamaha PSR-S975 - What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
If you are trying to record audio from your synth, find the audio outputs on the synth and connect them to your soundcard audio input. In Mixcraft, select that input as your source. Then press record to record the sound.
Hope this helps.

Re: MIDI Controller Keyboard Survey

Hi again, You can hear the B4000+ and Rhodes in my piece titled Summer Fun on my soundcloud page. www.soundcloud.com/myran-j-rivard Rhodes is in stereo, with Smallstone phase shifter on left, dry right. Connected to my home made dual active DI to split the signal in to two audio outs. Phase Shifter ...
