Folder Icon

Hi folks, is there a way to regenerate a folder icon? Comparing one project to another, though they both contain a folder-icon.ico file, and the .mx8 project file, one lost the outer folder Mixcraft icon when I moved files around. Resaving doesn't recreate the outer MC folder icon. Thanks! BTW, I am...

Re: MIDI Editing

Thanks guys, I see it- left-bottom of the Sound Tab, select Volume, and edit with the pencil. Thank you!

MIDI Editing

Hi guys, hope all is well. I’ve had good success editing MIDI, although being quite new to the technology. When I manipulate the piano roll for velocity however, I can’t effect any volume changes- nothings happens. Could there be information missing from my controller, in spite of seemingly correct ...

Re: Automation Ponts

That's it Greg! If you'd read my post, it was track automation I was having the trouble with on that track. Now I get it! Thank you!

Re: Automation Ponts

Yes, Greg, Volume is selected. Could it be that it wasn't recorded within MC? See screen shot showing 1.0 rather than 0.0 dB.

Automation Ponts

Hi all, Can someone explain to me what's hap'nin' with my automation points. On a mono track, the behavior is as described in the manual and videos. I click to create a track automation point at 0.0 dB and add/drag as needed. I'm also wanting this on a stereo audio track recorded elsewhere. When I c...

Re: Izotope essentials bundle

Hey Mark, et. al., Any pointers with this plug-in? It’s laid out simply and it’s pretty self-explanatory but I’m trying to get better results for contemporary/smooth jazz, so somewhere in between a jazz and rock sensibility. I’d appreciate some recommendations on preset choices and where to take it ...

Re: Saving audio files in project folder

Greg, I hate to belabor this. Per my original post, this is about WAVs added to the project from an outside directory. If you open such a file, it needs to be copied to the working project folder. The easiest way is to physically place the file, or a copy of it, directly into the Mixcraft project fo...

Re: Saving audio files in project folder

Thanks Mark. Greg? Per my talk with Mark, I'm content to place all audio in the project folder, but I am stupified as to the proper procedure if trying to copy via the File Menu. Thanks.

Re: Saving audio files in project folder

Thank you Mark! This is definitely the safer bet. Since, there is a utility to copy files to the project, with 3 rather confusing prompts, my curious nature would still like to know, how it works. I'll take your advice on starting a new thread in the future. My feeling was that it was less acceptabl...

Re: Saving audio files in project folder

Guys, This is till freaking me out some. If I place outside-generated WAVs into the project folder, all is well. But, let's say I'd previously generated a WAV to a different directory, then inserted it on an audio track via Sound/Add Sound File (or dragging). Now, in addition to saving the project, ...

Re: Basic Editing

Oh, bless you Greg- that's it! T'wasn't intuitive and I could not find the secret. Just get below the title bar of the clip so that the cursor changes, at which point you can drag left or right!

Basic Editing

Can someone point me to a video or succinctly explain how to edit a clip? I still do not get how to simply highlight a section of a clip by dragging, and delete the highlighted section of just that track. Yes, I can click and drag the blue highlight, but more times than not, I'm dragging the clip ou...
