Re: Veldberg XD Demo

Much appreciated for you taking the time to do the YouTube's showing features of the various plugins included with Pro 8, I've actually learned things about the vst/vsti's I've only ever glanced over. However for me Veldberg is only 32bit and, these days I only use 64bit. Cuts down on some options b...

Re: Mixcraft Freezes Upon Opening Project File

I find it rather self centred not to post an issue such as this on a forum for the benefit of other users who might have, or in the future have the same issue. Happened to me once but that was down to a bad plugin as Mark suggested. The question I suppose, is there a bug in the software? If so why d...

Neutron 3

Izotope released Neutron 3 today, would be interested in the opinions from anyone who may try it out. The main changes that seem beneficial to me particularly is the system load as Neutron 2 can hog resources but they claim 3 is not resource hungry. I shall download when I get back from a break and ...

Re: Is brand of a guitar important?

Depends what you want out of it really. My first was a Hofner single pickup, single cut-away solid, played well & a friend made a whammy bar for it, pretty rare in 1959 & good enough for the amps at the time. Swapped that for a rather nice Burns. double cut-away, twin pickups and a delight t...

Hi

Try https://www.flashbackrecorder.com/express/ Does al you need for free. The paid for Pro version gives more options for file output etc but the Express should do what you need

Re: Upgrading to Windows 10

The only issue I've encountered is the one I mentioned above, the update info will download and run in the background hogging cpu at times. Otherwise W10 has been good to me You can always, in all versions, set "change Active Hours" in the update and security section of the settings app s...

Re: Upgrading to Windows 10

As a former devotee of Windows 7 I have to disagree with the statements made here about Windows 10. I have updated some 30 PC's to 10 from 7 and had not a single problem. At home I have 5 on Win 10, 1 on XP & 1 on Win 7, the latter two are now rarely touched as Windows 10 has much better disk &a...

Re: PSP MixPack2?

Thanks Nathan for posting, tried for 5 minutes and bought in a heartbeat, shame that I got the deal on Phoenix reverb only last week, it's good but complex, cost more and hasn't got the warmth of the 2445. For 40 years I've been looking for this sound in a reverb can finally put my 20 inch valve spr...

Re: Removing noise from ancient recording

A product like RX or similar can be useful for more complicated issues, but the full-featured versions get a little pricey.

Not only pricey Mark, bloody difficult to master, worse than Melodyne!

Re: Removing noise from ancient recording

This one has fewer artefacts done with RX & finished with Goldwave. The right channel has a little EQ left channel left as is.
Certainly less noise!

Re: Removing noise from ancient recording

HI Don't know if it's any better than you've achieved so far. I had a quick go with noise reduction software I have, there is a little faint tinkling but you should be able to cut that with EQ. Can give it a go over the weekend with the industry standard RX7 to see if it will do a better job if this...

I just want something very simple - a right click in the plugin manager to show the location or open location of the file.

Easily pleased

Re: MIxcraft 8 not Saving true sound

Hi And Welcome. Sound enhancements are found under playback device properties, ie speakers, headphones etc Usually found by right-clicking on the speakers' icon in the task tray, select playback devices. When the sound window opens click on the default playback device, (has a tick next to it), Click...
