Steven Tyler And Joe Rogan Discuss How Streaming Services Are Screwing US

http://jazzruinedmylife.com It would be nice to make a living as a composer but I think those days are gone unless some ethical entity creates a streaming service that treats us right. I think it is possible and I think I know how it can be done but I don't have the skills or the ability to get tho...

Re: YouTube Upload Problems

Hi, Here's what's happening: a lot of these online services are changing their APIs. It started with Facebook, but now YouTube has done the same thing. We would need to update Mixcraft to reflect the changes in the various service's APIs, but that's not happening right now. So, just mix down to WMV...

Re: YouTube Upload Problems

I don't have an answer but I do have a question for you: DId this problem by any remote chance start after updating Mixcraft to this latest build (or any build since the VERY STABLE 413 build)??? And yeh: YouTube and SoundCloud are REALLY starting to pi*s me off. There's absolutely no standard or r...

Re: YouTube Upload Problems

Time to swear. Rebooted computer and Mixcraft Rendered a video for the 10th time. Videos play on Window media player but still get the same message when I try to up load. This trouble shooting stuff is damn frustrating. Why will it play on windows media player? Why will videos that I rendered a few ...

Re: YouTube Upload Problems

The tail chasing begins. 1. Videos that I made months ago will upload. 2. I just made a 33 second video using one image which is a picture I shot. I rendered it in WMV format and I used one loop. 3. For some reason when I open mixcraft it is in beat not time. I switch it to time. Could this be relat...

Re: YouTube Upload Problems

Up date:

I dropped the mixed audio version using different still images and I am getting the same error message. It looks like the Youtube censors have me on the no upload list.

Welcome to Amerika.

YouTube Upload Problems

For some reason YT won't allow me to upload video. I don't think it is a Mixcraft issues. Everything else I have rendered on Mixcraft with still uploads. I uploaded a work called Stable Genius that worked fine. I then made some changes in Mixcraft and rendered a different version with more still ima...

Re: Cakewalk Sonar Goes Belly Up

I think the key word here is Gibson. They have made a lot of boner decisions over the years. That's what happens when clueless corporate types take over a good business. Look how Time Warner wrecked AOL and how corporatists ruined Yahoo. Look at how Youtube creators are being screwed. Corporations c...

The End of Soundcloud?

They have been hemorrhaging money for quite some time and I don't understand why. They have a great platform from a software point of view. They have a very high Page Rank. They have over 100 million users. Google PageRank: 9/10 cPR Score: 9.6/10 Alexa USA Rank: 67 and this mean that there are only ...

Re: Future of the daw

I see more collaborations between 3d party plugins i.e. being bundled into DAWs. The thing is a lot of DAWs have some really good built-in stuff (like oh say Mixcraft), but many still have this foolish tendency to think they have to get 3d party stuff and that stuff built into DAWs can't be as good...

Re: Is brand of a guitar important?

I tried out a cheap Tele at Guitar Center recently and the fit an finish was decent. The tuners were fine. It played like a Tele and sounded like a Tele. All it needed was a set up which is pretty easy on an electric. I noticed that the expensive guitars there have been set up and the cheap ones hav...

Re: 440 to 432

Resonant frequencies are the building blocks of matter. Many of these videos demonstrate this. If you want to record at 432 you could do a recording as usual at 440 then pitch shift the whole thing. Just a thought https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=wvJAgrUBF4w I was starting to head in th...

Re: 440 to 432

Some rabbit trails can be be fun. I was thinking more about frequency and keys. Different keys have a different "feel" but keys are quite arbitrary whereas sound and frequency isn't. IMO keys can effect the "feel" of the music. It may have something to do with timbre of the instr...

Re: 440 to 432

No, that difference would be 8hz. There are 100 cents to a semi-tone (half step) 200 cents in a whole tone (or whole step), 1200 cents in an octave, this is assuming we are talking the even tempered scale. The difference in hz between any two steps isn't the same as we go up or down the scale, so t...

Re: New Video

Because I'm and old fart, most of what I've listened to was on vinyl and then CDs. It was great music of the 60's - 90's with most of it being recorded on tape. It is interesting to me that the Beatle's Sergeant Peppers was recorded on 4 tracks. I think you will find this interesting. This is Serge...
