Re: Sunday Night Jam

Good video (apart from the use of the phrase " I hope you had a good holy week, I know that we did here" which doesn't sound particularly relevant to the rest of the video). The rest is good educational output. Good descriptions about how to use laptops effectively, in spite of their limit...

Re: G-Sssssonique plug ins

I have invented something you might find interesting. A rear license tag bracket that vibrates violently so as to create the illusion of a powerful subwoofer system without the expense or loss of space. I am pretty sure its an ego thing Ian. Its certainly not anything to do with accurate reproducti...

Re: G-Sssssonique plug ins

HoRNeT plugins add 'hiss' buttons to their plugins. I don't know why anyone would use such a button. People need a bit of air on their recordings, like from 7 or 8khz upwards, not 2khz (I typically find the hiss residing around 2.2khz). I think it might be another illusion of E.D.M. (Electronic Danc...

I know, I know, I meant no harm with my comment either Joe. I just can't stand advertising. It's the reason I have avoided commercial TV for decades. It drives me a bit psychotic. Don't worry about it :)

Re: Removing noise from ancient recording

Also, whilst listening to the thing repeating for hours, I was left wondering why everybody has to like Christine McVie (presumably her from Fleetwood Mac) , as the words sounded distinctly like - "There was a pig went after the Christine McVie, Christine McVie. There was a pig went off her, th...

Re: When is MixCraft 9 comming out

Are there any plans for a MixCraft 9? I read MX9 is at least a year or more away... That was towards the end of last year, so I would expect it towards the end of this year. Otherwise it could be considered A Bit Late maybe (2 and a half years between Mixcraft 6 and 7 - 2 years 2 months between Mix...

Good to know, but this is advertising spam.
Perhaps the forum could contains a section dedicated to 'Advertising Spam' and these things could go in there along with the Monday morning Chinese Steel sales posts. Worth thinking about anyway   :D 8)

Re: Suggestion - Introducing the "Mixies"

jlouvar has a good point there. Mixcraft is proper music software (unlike things like Magix Music Maker [for example] and) as things like both video & Melodyne integration demonstrate) and they don't really want gimmicky nonsense to make people think otherwise. As for myself, it's not something ...

Re: Removing noise from ancient recording

Okay, I've been working on this for hours in iZotope RX6 Advanced (yes, because I'm a nut) and have created 9 different files using multiple techniques and pieces of software and combinations mixed together. The first thing was to isolate all the hum and remove it, which was below 147hz. The file of...

Re: Who remembers this!

( Edit ) Nice voice Trev (though it needs a touch more energetic projection to even out the slight weakness - either get slightly annoyed with, or seduce i.e. get lost with, the microphone ) and nice version of the track :) Thanks Ian - vocals were never my strong point which is why I like to recor...

Re: New Monitor - No Sound + question on resolution

All my monitors are TVs. Firstly, make sure to set the output to your sound device in Mixcraft Preferences . as it is set there. If you have clicks and stuff when listening switch your system in the Taskbar to your sound device. The problem with using a TV is that it only seems to display properly a...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

Better integration of Melodyne so that the full Melodyne Studio version's Export Audio as Midi does not have to be manually adjusted when re-imported. Also, better integration so that Ctrl+Z can be used to back-step through Melodyne functions and it doesn't just reverse the last step in Mixcraft out...
