Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?

Yep to Gregs reply. And I'll add: Joe, thats an excellent example. How that one slipped through all that time bewilders me! I now realize I spent nearly the entire MX8 lifespan studying mixing and mastering and personally doing no recording. Note to self, need to change that! I can also confirm that...

Re: Vst3 to Vst help?

Upon installation, select VST2 and retry.

In nearly every case I have run into problems with VST3 (which is fairly common) using VST2 works.

Re: MIDI tempo problems

Both very good replies, thanks. :D On the subject of time sigs, I confess to having simple tastes. Give me a 4/4 blues, an occasion 3/4 waltz I'm content. I also like Old time and Bluegrass/Americana that is often expressed in 2/4, but admit it sounds just like 4/4 to me when I am tapping my foot an...

Re: MIDI tempo problems

Curious. Did you set MX to 2/2 and 112bpm before importing the Musescore project, or leave it to figure it out on its own? And to be honest, I am just an ol' hillbilly, and trying to figure 2/2 in my head is making my brain hurt. In my world theres four time sig's- Standard, waltz and cut time...

Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?

Well Joe I'd have to strongly disagree with both versions of your reply. First off I'd acknowledge that refining a program like this could go on indefinitely. Literally endless quest. There is zero possibility of getting every quirk to function to satisfy everyone. Next, imagine the smallest possibl...

Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?

MOST IMPORTANT... ALL Mixcraft 8 bugs fixed and updated in MX8 too. Well, I'd wager you best let that one go. Based on past experience and what has been clearly stated on numerous occasions, MX8 is done, all efforts have shifted to 9. Same thing happened to 7, 6, 5..... In other words, some time ne...

Re: A good starting point with reverb on guitar

OK Stubby, a couple of things here to ponder. First off, let me say that was a fun listen. I hear a lot of potential and think you have done well. Room for improvement but its not far off IMO. Or certainly not a bad start! Just about have the chorus sections nailed IMO anyway! (And yeah, I hear the ...

8)

Little known fact- they are simulated genuine Norwegian wood from a mixer in Abby Roads studio!

True story!

Re: A good starting point with reverb on guitar

How can you play that style with no hair! Hard to say without hearing an example, but the first thing that comes to mind is: after finding a reverb type that sounds good to you, (1st hard part right?) make sure you set the wet/dry or send amount(s) while listening to the guitars in the mix. I ...

Re: Screenshots of Mixcraft 9

Not all is revealed in that mixer screenshot. Well... I wasnt going to comment on this, or other clues that are from inter-dev team communications. But now that this one's "out there" in a fully public forum.... Those fader and meter scales are odd. Gonna take some getting used to....

Re: Voxengo SPAN unable to use sidechain

Update/correction:
Note from Aleksey-
Routing in our plugins is generally not designed to be used for instance communication. This is possible in some hosts like Ableton Live, but SPAN Plus offers spectrum Import/Export which is easier to use.

Re: Voxengo SPAN unable to use sidechain

I think...… (Honestly, I haven't done this so some of it is theory) What was mentioned was comparing channels. I think there is some confusion on this though. First off, I am fairly certain it has nothing to do with the "side chain" function per-se. And here is a portion of the Voxengo use...
