Re: Any newcomers to mixcraft 6? Here is a praise report.

Great but I am not sure I understand why we have another entire forum with the same questions and topics as here. Maybe I am unclear about how the topics may be seperate but isnt it a bit confusing? Wouldnt it be better if the Mixcraft recording tips were right here? Not complaining, just wondering,...

Re: Advanced mixing and mastering-general discussion

Oops, of course I didnt meant below 20K now did I! Ha! Anyway, thanks for the input Eric. I did find one plug-in, I think its called basslane by Tone Projects, claims to be able to cut or split sub level frequencys out to mono. Freebie if anyones interested in this kind of thing. I havent had a chan...

Advanced mixing and mastering-general discussion

My last question got lost and ignored in another thread so I will ask anew, and start a new discussion on the topic. To start, there is the problem of sub frequency hum and rumble, aggravated by stereo and phase issues. I am aware that many engineers not only shelve all unintended low frequencys but...

Theres some good tips in there, thanks for the time.
Since we are on the topic, anyone have any tips specific to Mixcraft on the topic of making all frequencys below say 20K mono to help minimize low freq rumble and phasing issues?

Re: Ready to buy MC Pro Studio 6 now...questions need answer

Hey Zardac, I think I have had the same questions, and learned I was thinking about it too hard. What I learned is that the project files, and such things as VST folders are seperate from the mixcraft program files. An update to the program files leaves the project files untouched, and unless you ha...

Re: Help with song intro?

While it there was some synth and sequencer use in the creation of the Eliminator album, Far more than they had ever previously used, I think that we can say that was for some drum and bass work, and that the guitar sounds were indeed created by Gibbons. Although there was surely some fancy editing ...

Re: syncing troubles with mixcraft 5

Yeah, need more info to develop a better theory, but I have had a few similar problems in the past and heres a few things to check or consider. One thing I have found is that using loops from various sources you sometimes run across the situation where files marked for example 100 BPM are actually s...

Re: Newbie with no clue, help please!!!!!!

Wolverball, " I bought myself the m-audio fast track today too, next on the list is a midi keyboard " In my opinion, getting a decent interface, and getting the use of it sorted out is a GREAT starting point, and will reduce your frustration level enormously. Once you get through that lear...

Re: Need help-midi sequencing in Mixcraft 5.2

Thanks for the response Greg! On the volume, thats what I meant when I described " I have messed with the volume level in the "effects" box where you select the virtual instruments and such " although on my screen it shows volume 100%, not +/- Db. I have messed with it some and m...
