Re: Butterflies (look out)

That's beautiful Nicky (including the de-emphasis points of your voice as the lines end, very natural, not over-worked & the guitars & the rest of it sounds great too). Less of the self-doubting please. Trust your own creative judgement. The world needs more of this :) Thanks Ian! That mean...

Re: Butterflies (look out)

The video is a nice addition Nicky. It's mood matches the song very well. Love the whole.thing! Thanks Mark :D This was a quick song for me, as you know! No labouring over it for months lol I guess I wanted it to be very non-electronic (even though I love synths!) right down to the leg-slaps I made...

Butterflies (look out)

I've been hiding away writing and recording lots of songs with MC8 PS, but ultimately struggling with a good acoustic guitar recorded sound. Don't we all? Well, I'm in a tiny corner of a tiny bedroom... So, for this one I setup my Rode NT1A and Shure Beta 57A in a kinda A-B config, and, quite liked ...

Hammond...

Quick question folks... What would you say is the most authentic Hammond-esque organ sound we can do with Mixcraft? Or 3rd party? (freeware only)

Needed for one of my (always) 70s sounding tracks

Thanks!

Re: Clip Gain

I would like to be able to select for example 2, or all clips in a track and while selected, drag the clip gain up or down and have it effect all clips, AND the option of being able to adjust the selected clips gain precisely by for example a "right click/edit to exact value" option that ...

Clip Gain

How can I turn down the clip Gain of ALL my clips across all (or a selection of) my tracks? Possible?

Not wanting a huge conversation on gain staging

Re: Blue Sky...

I don't understand why printing one effect (compression) on a few tracks (vocals) is going to have such a great effect of reducing the load on my cpu and memory, thereby resulting in audible improvements. Is singing through a dynamic mic into guitar stompbox going to result in a better vocal sound ...

Re: Blue Sky...

There's a number of "channel strips" around, but I'm not about to spend any money any time soon... :D It's a shame none of my interference have inserts ie an effects loop to be honest...I might get my old Fostex 4 track mixer/tape out of the loft, even that had an effects loop! And it woul...

Re: Blue Sky...

So are you plugging in before the recording? In other words, does the recorded guitar have compression/limiting applied? :D Yes I am recording through a recording interface/hardware compressor now. I always used to do this, until a couple of years ago when I got a new Audient iD14 interface, and th...
