Re: How do I make my recordings sound good through speakers?

For anyone who uses headphones regularly for mixing, as I have to on many occasions, I would suggest perhaps tryingtry these budget studio h/phones. Good flat response & comfortable to wear. I have used these for two years and have ditched my much more expensive Beyer 770s & quality pair of ...

Re: Trim plugin

I find them quite useful on occasions and particularly like the https://www.sonalksis.com/freeg.html which has a good fine control and apart from the stereo version they also do a mono plugin.

Re: which video format is best?

I have used Avery Lee's VitrualDub almost since it's conception and has often proved to be as good as any commercial & expensive video converter, plus it's does much more then simply compress & convert, but is not the easiest to use. For today's trend of video and social media, (YouTube etc....

Re: Restore Temp files ?

It never pays to rush some things, often better to sit back and have little think instead of going into frantic mode & looking from the wrong angle. After re sampling, moving tracks and after recording a new track which was exactly the same it became obvious it was nothing to do with any thing I...

Re: Restore Temp files ?

Ah think I've answered my own question ! MPK's are only pointers to the actual audio I guess. Let me expand. The project was recorded at 44k but I added more audio at 48K. Following the crash all but one file are in the project folder but when bringing them back into the project the 48k are complete...

Restore Temp files ?

Hi

Had a crash and lost some audio not saved in the project folder.

Would anyone know if it's possible, as the files are all still in the temp folder, to restore from MPK ?

Thanks

Re: Mixcraft 7 Unwanted Sounds

Hi Tony

I found the easiest way is to use the GGate plugin, works well for me. A threshold around -30db and attack 1.1ms takes most of my breath noise out

Re: Mix Down To WAV Resulting File Sounds Different than Pro

Likewise as Mark says.
I have used MX7 through beta and render many mixes to WAV - 44/16 with no problems whatsoever.

Change Project Key - confused

Not quite sure how to explain this but here goes. Mixcraft 7 Pro Studio - b251. I have a project key of G which has 10 Midi tracks & 1 audio. Under the Sound tab 8 of the midi tracks show as their original clip key being Am - (more confusing because they are actually in A maj which is shown corr...

Re: Mixcraft 7

I suppose this all depends upon what you mean when you say "upgrade." Confused ! The registration for 7 Pro gives a download location ...../-PS-b244-.. however the latest beta is 246 which cannot install with my Pro code. 1. Which is correct ? 2. Will it patch or does it need to be a clea...

I can but agree with every comment. The obvious dedication he team give to Mixcraft shows through their commitment to produce a product that excels in it's field and anunrivaled customer service. In my years, I started recording in 1963 and working in computing from 1982, have rarely come across suc...

Re: Mix to seperate tracks

Hi Greg Yes I am using the latest build & apologies, testing on my laptop not connected to network I couldn't access my storage so I didn't have much space for the 11 tracks on my small ssd so went by estimated size as below. If you edit the with the box ticked the estimated size goes to the siz...

Mix to seperate tracks

If you click "Edit Details" with a tick in "mix each track to separate file" it reverts to a single file you have to un-tick & re-tick to revert to multiple files. After having mixed to separate files it would seem better to me if the tick box defaulted to being empty. After ...
