Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

VST locations. Not sure if this has ever been broached in the past but I think it extremely useful, to help keep everything in order, if the vst manager had a right click option to show the location of listed vst's, very much like operating systems have a right click to display properties (& lo...

Re: How to copy clips to a new project?

Hi Geoff. In Mixcraft 8 would it not be as easy to use "mix selected tracks down to stems" and make sure no boxes are ticked under "audio Options". ? This would provide you with tracks to import into your new project with all the effects, automation etc. Ok so you will have to sp...

Re: Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp breaks when trying to mix-down half of the time

Did anything ever transpire with this issue, I too find it will crash 7 out of 10 times when mixing down to any format. Using Pro Studio 8 build 396.
Stopped using it in Pro 7 for the same reason.

Re: AAC

I'm with Erik, would love to be able to drop as many formats as possible into Mixcraft but particularly AAC. I agree Greg that Ogg Vorbis is a decent format but the modern devices to play it are in a minority, at least it seems that way to me. In my home we have four smart TV's, all will play Mp3 &a...

Re: AAC

Text here from a UK magazine article today. "The Mp3 format has been declared "dead", after it's licencing program was terminated by the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits, the German agency that invented it in 1993......etc. ...The Fraunhofer Institute has called time on th...

Re: Recording at a slower speed without changing pitch

Hi Bill I have done this on odd occasions with the external audio editor I have used since it's inception, http://www.goldwave.ca/ . Goldwave has a time stretch effect they call Time Warp which is very easy to use & has a selection of presets for various speeds & pitch. In Time Warp I take t...

Re: WHAT SONG ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW?

Reading what you said about Chet & Les reminded me to look to see what an old friend had on YouTube, when Chet was in England he actually went to see & meet Richard Harding after hearing talk about him. Please take a look at this, one of several on YouTube - enjoy some superb guitar playing ...

Re: Feedback on iZotope Neutron and Ozone7

Hi Geddy

There is an earlier thread here with the same question http://forums.acoustica.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21218&p=104371&hilit=neutron#p104331

I use both and so far no issues.

Re: My newest song on SoundCloud..Enjoy!

I'm with Kenrob, not enough emphasis on the vocal. For my way of thinking a parody is about the lyric which needs to be more in your face and words telling the story being easily understood.

Some good work on the music though.

Not exactly knowledgeable in this field or even sure if this will help but you could look at the University of York music technology dept. They are experts - so a friend who studied there tells me.

Re: Old Farts Club

I've had an interest in recording since getting a twin track stereo reel to reel for a birthday in 1963. Still have the same machine, and several other machines. I also still have every tape recorded, and there are many, until I gave up reel to reel in the 80''s and restarted in the digital age in t...
