Mixcraft 8 Multiple Computers

Postby wesleycbig » Thu Aug 22, 2019 12:58 pm

Hello. I'm planning to install Mixcraft on another computer and move some Mixcraft files to that computer. I have a few questions related to this.

1.) Can you activate Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio on multiple computers with a single license?
2.) Will copying the project file onto a USB work?
3.) If I start a project on Computer A and add a third-party plugin to a track, and then install that same plugin on Computer B and move the project to Computer B, with the plugin play back on Computer B?

1: Yes on your own computer for your own use.

2: No. Not the project file, you want to move the project folder
You may need to use the "save project to folder" function, depending on your specific project and work flow.
Yes a USB/thumb drive will work.

3: Yes. If the same plug-in is installed, recognized and has the same name.

And welcome to the Mixcraft users forum. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Stay in tune, Mark

1. Yes, it's okay to install and register Mixcraft on both of your own personal computers.

2. Choose "Copy Project Files to..." from the File menu if you want to move projects around. Why? Because audio files are not stored inside the project file, and if you just copy the project file (mx8 file), the audio will be missing on the other computer.

3. Yes, if you've got the same plugins on both computers, it should work.
