Midi Editor: Brush Tool??

Postby LimonSkull » Wed Jun 13, 2018 4:28 pm

Hello!

Is there a feature to be able to brush the notes. I looked through the Midi Editor and can't see it. I even checked the manual and tutorial videos. Would this be something added in the future? It was something I saw Logic Pro had in one of their midi videos so went to see if MIxcraft had something like this. Tried holding CTRL, Atl and the Shift. Even watching the Mixcraft University videos and didn't see anything like that.

Also it would be nice to be able to make it that when you are out a key scale that the editor doesn't let you place the key there. Like a lock, to lock to keyscale.

Hi,

What would a brush tool do? What are you trying to accomplish?

Basically the brush tool you chose the note length and you just brush the notes down in one gesture as long as you have the mouse down. Basically a faster way for laying notes.

Also I forgot to state that I am nowhere near a professional so I don't have a keyboard to hook to my computer. So I am using the midi to make my music which I will use in my development projects. That was one of the reasons of getting Mixcraft cause of the vast VSTs offered and the midi editor. Even though loops are provided it's more of a bonus but wasn't what I was primarily looking for.

As a hobby I make little games and instead of using open source music and end up having something a million other people have I want to make my own. Which I am. So a flexible Midi Editor for those of us that don't have a keyboard to hook up would be nice. Like key ghosting from another midi section would even be neat.
