Midi playing back faster than recorded

Postby Diamond1 » Fri Sep 14, 2018 8:12 am

Hopefully I can get a bit of help with this issue. My comp has a 3.00GHZ dual core Pentium processor 64 bit with 8 gigs of ram running windows 10 and Mixcraft 8.

The issue I'm having is when I record Midi with either my Alesis Q49 keyboard or my Alesis DM6 drumset, the audio recorded is being played back at an extremely fast rate. Sometimes it plays back at regular speed but most of the time it plays back extremely fast. It's like a whole song of midi notes plays back in one measure of the song.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Does audio play back at a normal rate?

Go into Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences and if "Use Device's Preferred Sample Rate" is selected, try de-selecting it and restarting Mixcraft.

Greg,

this sounds like the problem I reported where the program started running at 1200 bpm last year in version 396 (I've re-uploaded it, here) https://youtu.be/85KXX4YqjXg

Yes, well it could have been if I'd spent 2 years mixing and mastering it properly
