I don't mean by using Beatcraft. Too bad there wasn't a USB gadjet tool that could display on the screen what you are tapping out with your hands. Say you told the software that comes with this gadjet taht you had 12 steps each in a 4/4 pattern. Then you tapped out something and it aligned your taps...

Hey Eric, how did you discover that trick?

What did you do, read the help file?

I understand what he is saying.

I don't know how to make the pattern from scratch sometimes.

I think it would be great to somehow tap it out and then you have a framework to go on from there.

anything by itself or in combination can be saved in Beatcraft as a wav file and then used in Mixcraft or other programs.

Beatcraft is a really simple program, there's no synching with other programs to deal with. Create a drum track in Beatcraft. (I create a scratch drum track/click track at the BPM for the song and then come back later to create the final drum track). Render your drum track to wav file. Add that drum...

There's nothing to vote on.
Clicking on the help menu would have quickly answered the overdub question.

Not sure what you mean by too much memory.
You mean file size?

A wav file size is what it is and is the same size on all computers,
MP3 's are compressed wav files so they are smaller.

Uh, there's an efx button on every track.
Sounds like you need to do some reading, this is a pretty simple thing to do
Check out the help files.

What did you do, record a 3 second beat?

Make your sequence longer to get more than 3 seconds.

I understand, the money is steep on GR. All those weird alien noises and synth sounds that I do is all done with GR. I use the Bass presets also with my Bass to record. GR2 now has all kinds of cool sequencer stuff and a million other things that I don't even have time to explore. Lots of guys use G...

Yeah, it's an ugly price. Don't bother with the foot pedal thing, there seems to be some issues with it. I bought GR1 a year ago and the foot controller from GR1. I upgraded to GR2 recently and still use the GR1 foot controller for just a couple things. I don't use the pre amp in the foot controller...

Don't know but GR has that ability. It feels like a real amp to me. I am still using tube preamp. Guitar into a tube pre amp then signal from the tube pre amp goes into my sound card line in so I still have some tube tone in my signal chain. I still think that my real tube amps sound better but, I c...

There's all kinds of free stuff out there.
Some of it is crap, some of it sounds good.
