Re: Newby Question - Final Mixdown

It's all subjective. If it sounds good to you, then it's good. Mix it down and listen to it on as many different sources as you have available. This will help to tell you if it needs to be tweeked a little.

Re: Question about New Songs

All loops in MC are royalty free. If you make a song using them, the song is all yours.

Mixcraft 6 and MPEG-4

One of my band mates recently switched from Mixcraft to Protools. The files I'm now receiving from him are MPEG-4 and it seems that Mixcraft 6 build 213 can't read them. Is there a fix to this?

Thanks

Re: Challenge: Publish an example of your work in a month!

Thanks SoundSquire for the nice words. The drum beat came from either the funk brothers extension pack for ez drummer or mixcrafts library, I can't remember. I laid down two guitar tracks and a bass track using line 6 pod farm. I played the piano lick with pianissimo and looped it all at 16 bars. Re...

Here's one that was done entirely with Mixcraft. It's the one called SoCal-A.

Re: lower volume keep fidelity, How?

If you're using MC6 try EZQ Equalizer, it's great for people new to EQ. Just grab the green dot and move it the area that sounds best to you. All people new to MC are welcome. Have fun.

Re: Optimizing the mix and mastering

Smallinson, I didn't think your tracks sounded bad. The second track could use a little sparkle in the upper mids but overall you're pretty close to what sounds good to my ears anyway. I'm not a fan of modern day mastering, I know many are. Personally, I like mastering to be around the quality of th...

Here's my home studio. I decided not to clean up and let it be what it is, a work/fun space.

Re: One fader to control them all

Sorry Eric, I'm a little slow. I can make the submix channel but I can't figure out how to drag tracks to it, they won't stay in the submix channel strip.

One fader to control them all

I'm pretty sure I've done this in MC before but I can't figure out how to do it again. In the mixer window how do I create a channel and use that one slide fader to move all the other faders with it? I'm using Studio Pro 6 build 191
Thanks

Re: Mixcraft Pro Studio 6

The boxed version will always be behind the updates you get from Acoustica. I can download MC Pro6 to any of my computers without limits. Why would I want another software box on my shelf, closet or garage? I think MC is getting more popular not less, so they should be around if I need to download a...

Re: EZDRUMMER not working

Are you using an electronic drum kit hooked up with midi? Or are you dragging and dropping the drum variations onto an MC track?

My dll file is in the 3rd party folder. Is yours in that folder as well?
