What you're missing is that Eric has been very busy making new drum maps.

We've got a giant pile of new drum maps.

(SOLVED) MX asking to update 6 out of 6 recent boots?

Hi, in the last two days MX has offered this update every time I have booted it up. (6 out of 6 boot ups). The install always works, and completes.

Thoughts on what I am missing? Specs in my sig (MX 10.6 Pro Studio B.635).

Thanks!

Re: Effects GUI occasional weirdness

Hi, Check out the second to last post in this thread. It may be the solution: https://forums.acoustica.com/viewtopic.php?t=30840 Yes! Thanks to you both. The combability fixed it, and yes I have my "main" monitor set to 125% in WIndows. When set to 100% all worked fine. So many steps but ...

**SOLVED** Effects GUI occasional weirdness

Hi all, has anyone experienced adding an effect to a track, and the GUI is painted weird? Now, this is not the end of the world, closing and reopening the effect fixes it everytime, or even clicking around the track sometimes works too. Just curious if it is on my end somewhere? Noticed this a few b...

Re: Change entire song tempo in 10.6 (vs the old way)?

Hi, What you have highlighted in the image is not the "Use Project Tempo" icon. That is the "Switch to Project Time" icon that lines up the measure numbers in MIDI clips with the Project time line. The "use project tempo" button is much further to the left but you have...

Change entire song tempo in 10.6 (vs the old way)?

Hi all, in the past when changing an entire song tempo (mix of midi, analog, and some clips / takes) I was able to do it like this: 1. Select all clips (Ctrl A) 2. Go to the sound tab and select 'Use Project Tempo' 3. Change project tempo to XXX bpm. I can't seem to be get that working 10.6, and the...

Re: Opinions on two computers...one in house, one mobile

Some great ideas here. One that strikes me as a "duh" moment for me is - no VST's really "needed" for the recording process. I always record flat / dry as was pointed out, and in reality other that plugins for instruments don't use them on vocal tracks. I am a Melodyne person so ...

Re: Opinions on two computers...one in house, one mobile

Hi, How about a USB connected drive (not a thumb drive but an SSD) that stores all of your projects and audio files that you could just unplug and take with you? Don't treat it as a backup - make it the main drive on both computers use for Mixcraft projects. Every so often backup the drive. But for...

Re: Opinions on two computers...one in house, one mobile

Hi I always work in two places and use the same laptop. This is definitely the easiest option for me because I can only be in one place anyway. So I don't have to copy anything at all :D Patrick Fair enough. I gave some thought to making my Laptop the primary, but that about as far as it went...! I...

Opinions on two computers...one in house, one mobile

Hi all, I have MX installed in my studio, in the standard "customers come to me" usage and we work here, and MX is installed on a laptop for mobile applications. For those using two computers, what have you found to be the best way to maintain a file / folder flow? Secondly - keeping all o...

Re: Popping, skipping, freezing. (Not an MX issue)

I tried some of the other tips here with good results. The most noticeable improvement was made by freezing tracks, and also letting the song play through once after loading it up before starting to mouse around. I also disabled, then completely unplugged my usb computer speakers. Normally I just di...

Some great tips here everyone! Too many things to quote but... Ray Cube: Normally at about 30+ tracks the issues starts. Popping, skipping, freezing. (Not an MX issue)

Hi all, When using MX on more "demanding" songs, IE lots of tracks, clips, melodyne on multiple tracks, mix of midi and real instruments, all of that, PC likes to act up by popping, skipping, and (seldom, but sometimes) freezing up for like one second during playback and recording, so I ha...
