Re: Two and a half feature requests please.

Yeah you guys are right. It usually does auto save during a crash. In fact with this particular file it tried to to create a crash recovery, and it was somewhat successful, unfortunately it was an incomplete save and I lost the clips from the last four tracks or so, which happens to be the majority ...

Re: "Phantom" Sounds loop after pressing "stop" button!?

I've noticed the overlap thing too, and I thought that might be the cause of the secondary issue I mentioned just two posts ago; The "other sound I'm not sure about". It was not. But, while fooling around I discovered that the cause for this "sound I'm not sure about" is related...

Using a Vocoder in Mixcraft / What Vocoders Do you Use?

I have little to no experience with vocoders. That being said I Have two free vocoder VST's that are great! But what do I know. One is the TAL-vocoder-2 and the other is MDA vocoder (which i got with a bunch of other mda vsts.) Now if you don't know what a VST is or how to use them that sucks, but I...

Re: "Phantom" Sounds loop after pressing "stop" button!?

Hi, If you wanted to capture the audio, you could connect the "line out" on your sound device to the "line in." If you use headphone or speaker out, make sure you have the volume set around 25% or so to avoid blasting your sound card and/or speakers. A lot of computers these day...

Two and a half feature requests please.

Save Frequently, right? Despite my finest efforts to avoid the tragedies of lost data it seems I cannot always avoid this pitfall. Just a moment ago, after editing an hour or so, I said to myself "I better save this again or I'll be sorry". Well maybe I shouldn't have Saved it, Because mid...

How to Match Project Tempo to a Track

Hello,

I was wondering how one would most efficiently match a project's tempo to that of a given track?
Currently I guess and check, is there a better way?
What is Auto Beat Match suppose to do?

Re: VST Sounds different on BackUp

No midi commands are bold, in either the back-up or the later file copy. But thanks for the reply, I have not yet made much use of that midi command drop down besides messing with note velocities (Does it have a proper name?) I'd like to learn how to use all its functions some are more obvious than ...

VST Sounds different on BackUp

Hello, I was recording in midi with TryellN6, a Free Vst, while simultaneously recording the stereo mix on an audio track. I also had BeatCraft running a sequence. The End result was a Midi clip of my VSt, and an Audio clip of my Vst laid over the beat from Beatcraft. The whole thing was pretty slop...

Re: Stuck Midi Note

Extra notes! :0 mg, What a 'tard! I can't believe I didn't check that, or that I didn't remember even making that change, but clearly I did, lol, sorry. I'm gong to look for a video on proper looping, but if you have the time to explain what it is that I did to cause this so as to ensure that I can ...

Re: Pitch Change: Keyboard Editor

Yeah! that's what I'm talking about the playback rate. You nailed it. I would say this is essentially the same feature, FL studio just presents it in a more accessible way. their set up is a little quicker to adjust, and is easier to understand visually, but Beatcraft can get you to the same place, ...

Stuck Midi Note

Hello all, Weird stuff is happening. I have a "project" that is writing itself. So the clip in question has a sustained note that triggers after the clip is done playing. At first I kind of liked it, it was the right note (in that if I were to have looped the clip the stuck note heard woul...

Pitch Change: Keyboard Editor

Hello, I am new to Beatcraft. My first experience with a pattern sequencer was with FL Studio. I've "known" about Beatcraft as long as I've known about Mixcraft (Which is great! And thank you Greg and all you other moderators for doing such a good job providing such an awesome service here...
