A Tune I Did On Mixcraft
Here's how I did it. 1. I created a drum track using the loops. 2. I laid a guide vocal with an acoustic guitar through my laptop speakers. 3. I laid the bass track. 4. Laid the guitar tracks. I used a Fender Telacoustic plugged into the 1/8 inch jack on my laptop. 5. I sat in my car with a cheap he...

Re: Underestimating Mixcraft
I tried Reaper and found it very disappointing and unstable when you add plug ins. I want to their forum and the bug reports made me itch. I don't find coming up with work arounds and doing problem solving bad software much fun or satisfying. I make music and I want my tools to work right. For...

Mixcraft Live
The effects in Mixcraft are quite good. Has anyone ever tried using a DAW controller mixer into Mixcraft and then using the output from Mixcraft and sending it to the power amp in a sound reinforcement application? I am thinking that scenes can be set and called up for each song. My thoughts are thi...

That's one of the first things I do. It really gets it in the ballpark and is quite a time saver. I really the the Classic EQ with saturation.trevlyns wrote:Also, don't forget to try the vocal presets in Mixcraft..

Windows 8 and DAWS
What's the word on the street? Windows 8 doesn't enjoy the good reputation of Win 7 and Win XP so I am a bit nervous about having to upgrade to 8 when the day comes.

Re: Aphex Type C Aural Exciter Type Psychoacoustic Plug In?
There's nothing "built-in" to Mixcraft like a specific plug-in or something. There are some free vst plug-ins you can try. Different exciters use different approaches to enhance the signal. Basically, they will add harmonics, add harmonic distortion, manipulate existing harmonics or manip...

Aphex Type C Aural Exciter Type Psychoacoustic Plug In?
The Aphex aural exciter and other competing units make everything sound good. Is there anything like that in Mixcraft? I sometimes put a little phase shift on the voice along with a touch of distortion but it's not the same. I don't think that there is a combination of effects in MC that can do psyc...

Mac and Mixcraft
A couple of questions. I was researching MixCraft and Mac and I ran across a YouTube video of MC running on a Mac. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRkpwbqdjXE Can Mixcraft projects open and run on Garage Band and vice versa? I have a friend in another state who has a PC and I would like it if he cou...
