Re: Misfit Island

Cool stuff man, I like the beat and even though I'm not a big rap fan, it sounds good to me. About the beat, one thing that just slightly bothers me is the hihats. I'm not sure if they're the wrong sample, if they're too loud, or if it's because they're both the same velocity and even, but yeah that...

Re: Double Bass synth?

Hi, Have an electric bass but what's the best way to emulate the sound of a bowed double bass please? I toyed with the idea of a bass guitar 'gizmo' but these look glitchy to me - all those cogs spinning round. Any ideas please - apart from buying a double bass that is! :-o Thanks :) I don't think ...

Re: Switching Instruments in a Live setting

With virtual instruments you don't actually have to arm them, only select the track. You can do this easily with the arrow keys to go up and down. If you could find some way to bind a pedal as the arrow keys, that could work, however that would only cycle through them.

Re: Brass VSTs

As others have said, sax VSTs are almost always terrible. If you send me sheet music I'll play some for you. I can get alto parts done very quickly, tenor may take a bit longer because I share a tenor with my brother and only have it at certain times. If you're interested, my email is andrew@ajgi.net

Re: 440hz to 432hz

 Chibear. I've played with two guitarists that insisted everyone needed to tune to their 432 tuning. I learned to never argue with them, they wont budge. Each lasted exactly one practice session. Oh, and never borrow an electronic tuner...... Lol that is the most pretentious requiremen...

Re: Looking for feedback

As others have said, put the vocals in the centre. Maybe put the rhythm guitar on the right and the lead on the left? Work on your general timing with the guitar playing. Not sure where your drums are from, but I'd prefer a fuller sound and a fuller bass sound, or no bass and drums at all, perhaps s...

Re: Mixcraft 8 Pro problems...

Love Mixcraft Pro... Have been using 7 Pro.. Mixcraft 8 Pro = not so great. Along with a few "Mixcraft has stopped working" crashes, Shred amp keeps crashing if I make any attempt to adjust settings... also the Shred amps do not load and cause a "not loaded error" on re entering...

Re: ADD EFFECTS AT DIFFERENT TRACK POINTS?

anything that uses automation is not good I strongly disagree. Automation is the most convenient way, however this does depend on the kind of music and the type of effect. I've never had any issues with it timing the effect and i don't see how it can happen, since all it's doing it automatically ch...

Re: [closed] Saxophone player for a track needed

Hi :D Is there anyone here that plays the sax and would like to contribute to one of my projects? Other similar instruments is also interesting. Basically what I need is a saxophone solo that lasts for approximately 1 min and 40 seconds. Right now I have a plug in, but it's hard to get this to soun...

I'm not sure if this is a sign of very good backwards compatibility, or a sign that Mixcraft 8 includes a lot of very old code

Re: Sound quality tips for a rookie?

Some light compression and reverb could help, a bit or EQing could maybe fix some issues.

However, pretty much every problem with this recording would be fixed with a proper microphone.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

Here's my list. Sorry if they've been mentioned before. Higher fidelity wave forms, allowing for more precise audio editing. - in other DAWs (eg Reaper and Ableton) I can zoom in all the way to see the actually shape of the wave, allowing me to cut the wave when the phase is at 0, meaning there is n...
