Re: Tips on using quantize / swing in mixcraft?

That is a mixing solution, totally irrelevant to your original question. As is most of the rest of that post. Sorry Marty, but you wandered well off topic. Another subject entirely. I guess we have a different "slant" on creating "swing." Quantizing is a good thing, but arrangin...

Re: How to add groove and life into your drum programming?

Another approach would be to make use of the Omni Sampler in Mixcraft 7 and higher. With the Omni Sampler you can pull up and place all the different drum samples Mixcraft has, position them in whatever manner is comfortable for you and best of all the Omni Sampler has internal tone control. So You ...

Re: Mixcraft 7.5 Build 289 Released - please update!

Hi Mark Hi Dan, Okay I went to the help menu...cicked updates, and downloaded the build for mixcraft 7.5. Is that it? Or did I need to download the whole mixcraft 7.5 first? earlier tonight had a computer glitch which I finally fixed so I am just being paranoid and want to make certain there was not...

Re: Mixcraft 7.5 Build 289 Released - please update!

Hi Dan, Just spotted this notification and it's none too soon, as the issues you describe I've been having. So I have a couple of qestions as last time I did an install of build we had a bunch of problems. I'm using Mixcraft 7 (not pro studio). Do I need to "ugrade" to Mixcraft 7.5 first t...

Re: Something I probably did wrong but can't figure out

I mixed two of the midi tracks (bass and short lead guitar part) down to audio and froze the midi tracks Why? You should freeze the tracks with the most processing going on, typically tracks with a lot of fx. Freezing a short midi clip will do just about nothing to free up resources. But if you mix...

Something I probably did wrong but can't figure out

Hi Folks, Was working on a project and it was coming together nicely. However, it became apparent that I was taxing my CPU pretty heavy (not a lot of tracks but whatever) Machine started sounding like it was eating dry cornflakes. So I followed advice I'd read previously here and have used in the pa...

Re: Tips on using quantize / swing in mixcraft?

Here's a suggestion. Use the omni sampler (very good drum sampler) Create your own personal presets. The Omni Sampler has it's own internal tones controls ranging from pitch to compression to volume. So you can create exactly the sounds you want for each instrument (snare, kick, hat, and so on.) Sav...

Is there a way to automate separate lanes?

Hi all, Just a quick question. I'm about to do some fixes on a vocal track. I've reviewed the videos on lanes, over dubs, and punch in and out but have a question. Is there a way for me to "automate" the different lane recordings so I can listen to different lanes in different ways. For ex...

Re: Mics best for recording

Yep Marty, "old mics" It's apparent, you haven't actually read or followed this thread, which by the way has long since run its course I think. And while I have to admire a person who grabs a shovel with both hands and digs a good hole, from my own experience I can confirm its easy ...
