A save preset option in the menu would be really sweet.

Re: Map drum sound to Akai MPK mini MK3 pads

I use EZDRUMMER2 and I have to go to Akai Editor to match the cc# of the drum I want to the pad. Now with presets I have 4 drum kits set up just the way I like. As Greg said you could map the sample to a sampler as there are no individual programmable cc# for their drums. I'd recommend trying out EZ...

There is the master checkbox in your track vst menu, you could have those open and a/b whatever you like.

Re: Akai knobs and Mixcraft

I have an Akai LPD8 and have no issues with midi control. Have you checked in the Akai Editor? It kind of sounds like you have it switched to toggle instead of other so when you turn it just goes to the extreme.

Re: mixcraft Mac support!

Not really much point as Apple has Garage Band for free and Logic after that. I'm assuming that Acoustica has weighed it and figured it wasn't worth the overhead.

Re: New Laptop Advice

FWIW, if your budget is $1k I would get the best processor you could and make sure you have expandable RAM. That way you'll be able to upgrade later if necessary.

Re: New Laptop Advice

Best advice is to buy as powerful as a system as you can afford, gaming laptops generally have what is desired for audio recording which is a newer processor, 16gb RAM is pretty much minimum these days, many going with more, and a couple of SSD for storage. If you can't quite afford a lot, go with n...

Re: Using mixcraft for voice over work

You sound like you're off to a great start and have hit the ground running, good stuff! Your more quiet voice may require you moving closer to the mic but be careful with plosives, hope you do have a pop shield, very important. Not only will it help with plosives, it's a good reminder of where your ...

Re: Choppy Videos - Can I Shorten Vids?

A bit late to the party but did my first video project for kiddos HS graduation where people sent in their video congrats and I was to edit. Ended up well enough but it was confusing during editing all the same jumpiness that you both had. I will tell you, the volume automation was kind of a pain wi...

Re: midi keyboard integration

You're probably going to be facing a couple of outcomes, one is that it's Mackie compatible and will support most, if not all of the features. Two is that you'll have to manually assign a lot of stuff and have a few empty knobs and/or buttons. Not too familiar with their stuff but it looks like you'...

Re: How to send a song to another person?

Wav is always preferred but it is a larger file so most folks use dropbox or other sharing sites.
