Re: EASIER DRUM QUANTIZING POSSIBLE?

if you have 9 live drum tracks, and you just move/warp one snare hit in only one of the tracks, and not adjust all of the others the exact same amount, then yes you are going to have phasing/flamming issues.

Re: Ozone 7

Sure, there isn't much added at all to the product he is selling that is different from the free video I posted. Still the free video is a really good place to get a peek under the hood of his approach to mastering. I'm sure there are a ton of other videos on youtube that go even deeper into profess...

Re: Ozone 7

This is one of the best YouTube vids on how to get started mastering that I've seen. (full disclosure, I did buy what he was selling at the end of the video, but the paid version just goes into a little more detail of the steps that he is showing on this video and really doesnt provide any new major...

Re: Ozone 7

If you aren't sure why you need Ozone then first I'd recommend doing a you tube search on using a limiter to bring up you overall mix volume to something sort of resembling a commercial CD, and also "mix bus compression" to gel you mix together. These can both be accomplished with mixcraft...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

- The ability to zoom down to the sample level. This is very useful when layering samples such as drum hits into multiple tracks (an outside kick sample on track 1, and inside kick sample on track 2, kick room sample on 3..etc) to avoid a flaming effect. - Being able to select multiple tracks and ti...

Re: growing your system

I run 2 Mackie blackbirds at the same time. Although one is connected to the other interface through ADAT. Only one interface is connected into the computer's firewire port (although the doc's say you can connect up to 4 of them). I get 16 inputs into the computer just fine. Also several Delta 1010 ...

Re: Audio Warping for Acoustic Drums

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, phasing issues do creep in if you don't adjust all of the tracks by the same amount. Especially when you have 8 or 12 mics on a drum kit. Ok, thanks for the heads up on only being to work with one track at a time using warp. It works great for single mic/track tighte...

Re: Audio Warping for Acoustic Drums

Hi I'm new to this forum. I Just bought Mixcraft 7 Pro and have the same question. If you slide one track and not the others (say a drum track has a kick, snare, and 2 overheads) then you run a risk of introducing track phasing artifacts. Is there any way of placing an audio warp marker at the same ...
