Re: What is the most versatile EZX?

I do a lot of folk-pop type stuff and the kit I actually find myself using the most is the Cocktail Kit, though its not really an EZX Of the EZXs, I find the Indie Folk pretty versatile. Best feature in EZD 2 is the ability to swap individual kit pieces from other kits and the ability to pitch them ...

Re: Mastering and Mastering Tools

Personally, whatever FX I use I apply at the mixing stage (or before) to individual tracks. All adjustments and tweaking are also done at the mixing stage. I try to get everything sounding how I want it (or as good as possible) then bounce down to a single WAV file. The only "mastering" I ...

Saving individual tracks as wavs

Where you have a project with several audio tracks where the clips all start different measures. Is there a way to save the individual tracks as a wav files that all start at measure 1 ? Clearly all the wav files would have different amounts of blank space at the start but it would be easy to line t...

Re: ...I've Tried this Before - and it wasn't pretty

I would just also endorse that the SM57 is a good all round choice and if for whatever reason you don't like it, they hold their value well second hand so you can always sell it. You need a pop filter? - fashion one out of a wire coat hanger and a stocking. Don't agonise too much over equipment choi...

Re: trigger sequencer in Mixcraft 7 question

Not sure I understand the question or rather the configuration you're talking about.
We talking hardware, software, both? Can you be more precise about the set up you're describing?

Re: Mixcraft Studio Drums? or standalone drum software?

From my personal angle, I have Addictive Drums 2 and EZ Drummer 2. Both sound great and are very much capable of producing excellent drum tracks. It's easy to assemble tracks with both programs - you audition beats in their libraries and once you've found what you're after, you drag them from the GU...

Re: Virtual Instrument not sticking to my track

Just a thought - I wonder if there is some midi (CC) event or data present at the start of the midi track (e.g. a bank/preset selection or volume, etc) that is triggering the VSTi to make some unwanted change when you press play. I think these events are normally filtered out in the midi piano roll ...

Re: mixcraft 7

In MC 7 you can grab the bottom edge and drag it to any size you want. You can also right click a track's fader to select an exact volume or a preset %. In my experience you always get a prompt response here in the forum from either the MC staff or knowledgeable members of the MC community. If you '...

Re: Mix does not obey Use Selection

I'm not sure this is a bug. Personally, it sounds like MC is behaving in the way I'd expect it to. I would have thought what governs the "end point" of a rendered mix is the last event in the track view, and not any decaying residual sound resulting from any VST FX such as delay repeats or...

Re: Ozone 7

I would say that experience and knowledge is much more important than what tools you use. Ozone 7 is no doubt capable of producing a "pro" sound when used in the right hands, but then the same could be said for a lot of freebie VST FX. I'm not saying don't buy it, Ozone 7 is a good all-in-...
