Re: yamaha moxf and mixcraft
I also have the moxf forum working on this, still to no avail. Here is my interaction with their moderator: When setting up to use the MOXF VST, two separate MIDI Ports are used. Port 1 is used to transfer MIDI messages that involve performing music with the MOXF, (note-ons, controller messages, tem...

Re: yamaha moxf and mixcraft
Still trying to use Mixcraft and Yamaha moxf together. The advice given has now allowed me to get as far as opening the moxf vst, and I can even record, but I can only play the instrument that is selected by default (full concert grand). I cannot change the instrument via the vst, only by selecting ...

Re: yamaha moxf and mixcraft
OK, some progress!! I have now selected ASIO driver, input device is moxf, playback device is moxf, and the ASIO Device is Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO. I can now select the moxf as an instrument and can show the moxf editor. However, I can only select one instrument on one channel on the editor. The d...

yamaha moxf and mixcraft
I am still on a quest to find out how I can use Mixcraft with my Yamaha moxf. Mixcraft will not recognize the audio interface which is the moxf. It works fine in Cubase with no external interface required, but I prefer Mixcraft. Is it likely that the addition of an external interface will enable rec...
Re: Motto
Yes, I had previously downloaded and installed the usb driver, but I found there was a new update which I just finished downloading and tried again to use Mixcraft. I still get the message that Mixcraft is unable to open the playback device with your current settings. My current settings are: Defaul...

I am staring longingly at the Mixcraft motto: "Sofware should be easy to use". I agree whole-heartedly that Mixcraft is very intuitive and easy to use. My pitiful longing is that I purchased a Yamaha MOXF which has excellent sounds, and is touted to work seamlessly with Cubase. However, I ...

Re: yamaha moxf and mixcraft
Yes, I am using the Yamaha moxf as my audio interface. The drivers are installed, the audio output from the moxf is going directly to my amp/speaker setup, and the Yamaha moxf is selected as the playback device. Still I am getting that message. I guess I may have to keep working on learning Cubase. ...

yamaha moxf and mixcraft
Although I have posted this question before I wish to again ask if anyone is familiar with using the Yamaha moxf with Mixcraft. The moxf can send and receive both midi and audio via usb, and it does work with Cubase. In other words the moxf voices can be played back via midi. I have done so successf...

yamaha moxf and mixcraft
I am considering buying the Yamaha MOXF61 synth. Does anyone have experience with how the moxf synth from Yamaha works with Mixcraft. It is touted to work seamlessly with computer and daw. I want to be able to use the sounds from the moxf in Mixcraft and render a digital audio file.

audio popping and distortion
I have started experiencing audio popping, static and distortion using Mixcraft 8 on playback. I am using core audio driver, usb audio codec for line and speakers. My latency is good but the popping renders it unusable. Any suggestions. I tried using an asio driver but get no sound at all. I am runn...

Garritan Personal Orchestra
When I choose the GPO vst it will not play the midi information in the track. The track was imported as a midi file from Band in a box. All of the other sounds on Mixcraft 8 play the midi info just fine. Any clue as to why the Garritan Steinway piano will not read the midi info?

Re: Audio will not record
Greg, thanks for your reply. I am running an asio4all v2 driver. The only recording source option to select is HD audio mic input 1 and 2. With this driver it removes the record level indicator and I don't know how to increase the level otherwise.

Audio will not record
After setting up a new mixer (Behringer q502usb) with a mic input running into computer with usb I get sound from the mic but when I attempt to record there is no audio file. It seems to be armed correctly and the audio track shows the red recording signals but no info is present. Any suggestions? :?:
