No. I was going straight into the PC the whole time.
I have discontinued using MC8.

Re: Absolute Fury/Frustration w/EZDrummer Latency, Et Al
How are you recording EZDRUMMER live? I just don't get the latency with the USB input straight into the DAW. Then why not use the interface USB straight into the computer/MIxcraft? That's what I am doing. Into the PC (the DAW is a program in the PC* sorry for the confusion). I am running it through...

Re: Absolute Fury/Frustration w/EZDrummer Latency, Et Al
I just don't recall having a latency on the recording end before. Trying to listen "live" was another matter. I just don't get the latency with the USB input straight into the DAW.

Re: Absolute Fury/Frustration w/EZDrummer Latency, Et Al
The file corruption isn't my present concern. The latency on the midi drums is my issue at this point. I have the midi via usb going into the pc/daw. I am listening to the drums in real time through an output going to my interface, so audible latency while recording isn't an issue, it's the fact tha...

Absolute Fury/Frustration w/EZDrummer Latency, Et Al
Few things bring me to this level of agitation, but here I am! I gave up on Mixcraft 8 after some of my files got corrupted. Studio One is anything BUT intuitive to me, and after several false starts which have cost me the only weekend I had without the wife under my feet, I have come back to MC8. I...

Adding additional midi cymbals...
I have an Alesis DM10 mkII going into the PC. Obviously I have a limitation on the midi instruments that the Alesis module can handle, and it is maxed out. Is there an out board midi/other device that I can add some cymbals to and route into the PC without having to get crazy with mapping?

Re: Clipping in playback within DAW...
Good morning. Shazam! The buffering rate did it! WOW. Easy. Stress level just dropped tremendously. Well I'm pleased to hear it. But you also really do need to go through the thread on optimising your workstation as well. Windows is notorious for having dozens of services/processes running in the b...

On a separate note, I have been auditioning Studio One and having an issue not getting electronic drums to work in it, and with this new found sound clarity, I may very well stick with MC8

Re: Clipping in playback within DAW...
I have gone back and corrected gain issues. There were some. And I think "clipping" was an inaccurate term, and I actually know better than to use it in this context. I was agitated and didn't reread prior to posting. It was suggested that my Interface can't process several tracks with the...

Clipping in playback within DAW...
I have recorded a MIDI Drum track, two guitar tracks (one after the other, not played simultaneously) and a bass track. With no FX, everything is whistle clean. Add effects per channel, and clipping occurs during playback within DAW. If you mix down to MP3/WAV, everything is clean. How do I monitor ...

Intermittent Drum MIDI issues
Gear: Alesis DM10 MKII MC8 EZdrummer 2 Multiple USB cables (one at the time) Issue: MIDI signal lost between Drum Module and DAW. Description: The drums work fine when played using default piano sounds in MC8, other than the hi hat not working at all (cymbals/pedal have no effect in the DAW. When as...

Re: Mic Preamp before USB Interface?
Most interfaces have preamps already built in, As does this one. It's got line or instrument level selector and gain knobs (pre amp right there). You could certainly connect a pre amp in line first, like a mixing board, but there's no reason to unless you need the routing that the mixer provides. I...

Re: Need help removing non-MC8 Melodyne
Hello. Remove Melodyne through Windows (Programs and Features or whatever it's called). Then just run the Mixcraft installer again and re-install Mixcraft AND Melodyne that came with Mixcraft. You may have to enter your Melodyne serial number again (the one that came with Mixcraft). Regards. Dale. ...

Need help removing non-MC8 Melodyne
In a fit of insomnia last night, and while downloading complimentary plug ins from my new FOcusrite Scarlett Interface, I somehow, for some reason added Melodyne. I do not have a license or trial for it, and am not sure what I was thinking, but I would like to get rid of it, without removing whateve...
