When I split a clip into pieces (either audio or midi), and then I go to edit the pieces, I don't see a view of only the part I clipped. I still see the entire original clip, with the parts I cut away dimmed out. I assume someone likes this. It has been this way since Mixcraft7, and then 8 and now 9...

Yes, that is where it used to be, on the Sound Tab.

There used to be a way to edit the name of a clip...I assume there still is, but I can't find it. A new clip gets the name of the instrument by default, and I used to go into the clip, and there was a field visible to edit it.

Where is that field now?
