I do use alt-drag quite a bit, but in the particular project I'm working on, it started happening before I did that. However I'm a lousy typist so can't rule out that I did exactly that by accident.
Is alt-drag the only keyboard/mouse combination that will do that?

Overlapping sounds
Hello all! I keep having a stupid problem with Mixcraft and I know it's my own fault but maybe someone has some ideas for dealing with it? When I'm editing sounds in tracks (in this case by "sounds" I usually mean MIDI but I think the same could happen with audio), sometimes I'll be making...

Re: Custom control surface mapping?
Maybe... but I'm by no means a sophisticated MC user. I'm just a hobbyist and for my current needs, it really seems like "record-stop-play-stop" is about all I need.

Custom control surface mapping?
Does anyone know if it's possible to create your own custom control surface mapping in Mixcraft? I'm looking for something small, cheap, and super-simple to act as a transport control device for MC. Basically just something with play/stop, record, and go-to-beginning/go-to-end buttons. No faders or ...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
Hey thanks!
I was actually aware of the mixer, but didn't realize it would store the level permanently for a program - I thought I'd have to reset it every time I closed and reopened Mixcraft.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
Here's one I haven't seen here... please pardon me if it's been suggested already and I missed it: a volume control for the audio sent to the PC speakers. One of the computers where I use Mixcraft is a dedicated music workstation and I can set the PC volume control to be correct when using MC and th...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
It would be nice to have a visual indication on a clip that says "something is underneath this clip." Seconded! Actually IMHO the best solution would be to somehow ensure that one clip cannot ever completely obscure another. If the start-end times of one clip are completely within the sta...

Re: Organ VSts
I have that one and I love it, but it's an e-piano and not an organ. Kind of a different beast.Rolling Estonian wrote:The Waves Electric 88 got some decent reviews. FWIW, I'm not a keyboard guy.

Re: Mixcraft 8.1
Can't you just go into the plugin management dialog (sorry can't remember the exact name and I'm not in front of a computer with MC on it) and disable the plugins you don't want to use?

Re: Live performing
I've got a Keystation 49 II and according to its manual: Transpose works in the same way as Octave Shift above, except the shift can be up +/- 12 semitones. As with Octave Shift, there are two ways of transposing the keyboard. You can use the Octave “+” and “-” buttons, or the black keys “TRANSPOSE ...

Re: New track 'Longing'
That sounds great! It reminds me of Enigma a little.
I agree with the other poster about the sax... I'd reduce its volume just a little, and maybe EQ it to shift it a little from "bright" toward "warm" if that makes any sense.

Re: Again I ask dock library window to fit in main view
This probably should go in the "feature request" thread, but have you guys ever considered making those windows undockable/sizable separately? For me, it seems like the mixer and notes are more horizonally-oriented (meaning generally you'd want more width than height), the library is more ...
