See pages 249 to 251 of the Mixcraft 9 manual. Although Auto-Tune is using it's sidechain input for a different purpose, the mechanics are the same as using a compressor for ducking.

Re: volume boost?
It's fixed in Mixcraft 9. I reinstalled Mixcraft 8 and did a direct comparison. But, Greg, ToneBoosters Ferox is a stereo (or dual mono) plugin, so your test didn't prove anything. The fact that it has a switch to sum to mono internally has nothing to do with how many inputs and outputs it has. Ther...

Re: volume boost?
I'm in the middle of something else right now, but I'll try a few of my mono plugins when I can. Thanks.

Sorry. I've reopened the old thread.Mark Bliss wrote: ↑Mon Sep 07, 2020 7:43 am ... Maybe we should revive the old thread instead of side-tracking this one though.

Re: Mono Aux Sends / Stereo Aux Sends
Graham is using Pro Tools (probably) in his examples, which has many complicated routing options... Yes, in Mixcraft it is simple. A stereo signal is sent out to the send track as stereo. In Mixcraft, early within the channel strip a mono signal is simply divided into two identical channels, L/R an...

The only free one I can think of doesn't do exactly what you want:

Hopefully someone else will have some better ideas.

Reinstallation and reauthorization
I am about to replace the system drive in my music computer. How do I unauthorize/deauthorize Mixcraft so I can reinstall and reauthorize it without using up one of however many authorizations are permitted?
Thanks in advance,
Bob Richard

Re: constraining the midi keyboard to play only a certain key
There are a number of MIDI plugins available to do this. One good one is Plugin Boutique's Scalar 2, which also does some other really useful things with scales and chords. In Mixcraft, you put it before your instrument plugin on the same instrument track. (Don't forget to disable Scaler's internal ...

Re: mixcraft pro studio 8 on more than one computer
Hi, Yes, you can have Mixcraft installed and registered on a couple three of your own personal computers. Schools can get a site license for more seats. Greg Over time, the number of installations (consecutive, not simultaenous) can easily exceed a "couple [or] three". I am about to do a ...

Re: Mixcraft 9: MIDI Guitar: MIDI Loopback utility still needed?
Hi, In Mixcraft 9.0, we decided we didn't have time to include that feature. Perhaps Mixcraft 9.x will include it. Greg I'll be watching for 9.x, then. And, when the time comes, I'll be willing to pay $10 more than the Black Friday price for the upgrade. Any updates on this feature request? I love ...
