Thank you both for the posts - I will try these workarounds. I've been creating a 'vocal track' in Mixcraft (just the notes) and importing that as a midi file into Synth V.

Are you Synthesizer V users able to have midi notes in mixcraft drive the vst directly? I have only figured out how to import midi into the Synth v interface.

Hi - Not sure this helps, but I have been using Synth V since Feb 2023 on whatever the most current build of MC has been, and have not run into any problems either rendering a single track to audio, or with mixing down a project with Synth V still in 'virtual instrument' mode.

I totally agree - I use Pianissimo as the default VST instrument, always a great place to start - loads quickly, sounds great.

OK I just realized today you can have more than one track opened in the piano roll at one time and easily switch between instruments to edit notes. Game changer.

I am having issues with Mixcraft, not really crashing, but 'blinking out of existence*' when opening instances of KK 3.0.1. Happens about 30% of the time, I think I've narrowed it down to when I accidentally double click to select the Komplete Kontrol VST3 instead of a single click. I sent in a tick...
