Maybe he means that, if he needs to re-record and overwrite - or Punch-in - a MIDI clip he has dragged and dropped into Performance Panel, he would like to be able to do it directly there, not have to record a new MIDI clip in the main window and then have to drag and drop it to replace the first on...

Thanks Greg, but not if you're using Kontakt. Only the Mixcraft dialog box closes down. But if I could create a shortcut for Close all windows, that would work? Is it possible?

Are you using VST instrument plugins? I just had a weird experience that's different from what you describe but I wonder if it could have the same cause. OK, so I finished my tune, it all sounds fabulous. Then I go to make a WAV file to send the mastering studio, and when I play the resulting file to check if all is good... volumes are panned right, with bacon in the monitor. When I play the project file, all good, when I play the mixdown file, ugly....
